Hi,
as the topic suggests, I’m new to the forum. I’m 28 and currently in round 1 (as you guys put it here ). I signed up because trying to get pregnant really does something to your body and life. Everyone keeps saying you shouldn’t be thinking about it... But I’m not doing anything else anyway... and I can’t help but think about it. I hope to learn a lot here and have some nice chats and chit-chats.

Greetings xx

Welcome! Are you following along in the NOD (not on my period day) February forum? We keep each other updated on how things are going while we're trying our best to get pregnant

Thanks Bertha, I've already done that.
    Sounds nice.

Hi everyone, I have a quick question for the ladies here.

I've been feeling pregnant for about two weeks now, but I'm not sure yet since I still have to wait a good week before I can test. But I do feel different than in the past few months. From morning till night, I have little stabs in my belly, gurgling intestines, lower back pain, and I'm urinating more than usual. There's also a lump in my throat. But I don't have typical symptoms like nausea or sore breasts/nipples. Just a bloated belly and more discharge than usual.

Sometimes I feel like my period is coming, which I also thought two weeks ago. Sometimes I think, "Yay, pregnant!" And sometimes I think, "Bladder infection" because I'm urinating more than usual. I'm not sure anymore. Do you have any advice?

Unfortunately.. It remains suspenseful until you get a positive test or your period starts. Such a worthless feeling, right!

    Hi Kuikentje,
I completely understand what you mean. One moment I think, hmm, it could be, and another moment I think, gosh, I feel nothing... Every time I feel something, I look it up to see if it could be a symptom, but even a headache can be a sign of pregnancy, and yeah, who doesn’t get a headache sometimes...

I’d really like to go to my GP now to get a blood test, but it’s not really practical to get blood tests every month, is it? I’m afraid we’ll just have to wait and see what happens...

Yeah, I've got this weird feeling for the first time in the past few months. Sometimes I think it's indeed my period, and when I have to pee a lot, I think it's a bladder infection, but with those little twinges everywhere, I think it might be pregnancy. I don't know what to think, just hoping for a good outcome.

I also have those pricks around my uterus area. I also have a burning feeling there. I did think about a bladder infection, I pee quite often too, but I'll wait and see since it doesn't really hurt. I had the feeling that I felt my egg go through my fallopian tube. An irritated feeling. In the morning I have a headache and suddenly crave chocolate. So you can imagine that I'm quietly hopeful too, but I'm still afraid it's nothing. After all, in the first round I felt everything too, including very sensitive nipples, but unfortunately..

    When is Bertha due?

Hi. I’ve always hoped I might be pregnant, but my boyfriend and I had sex yesterday. Could that be dangerous for the baby? He also lay on me for a bit. I did keep my hand in between, but I’m still worried that the fetus might have been harmed.

    Can't hurt, I think.
  12. kuikentje Guest #13

I hope so. I'd never forgive myself.

Sex can't do any harm, your boyfriend can't get into or touch your uterus. It's better to look up or ask about such things before you start getting into it
Are you already taking into account what you can and can't eat or drink when you're so consciously involved in this?

I do try to pay attention to it more or less. It doesn't work out every day... but from the moment I'm pregnant, I do it more thoroughly. I've had different symptoms since today. Like a lot more lower back pain and light pink blood during urination, a different kind of stomach pain, and occasional contractions. I hope that's normal in the first weeks of pregnancy.

I had to get a dental X-ray today and I did let them know that there might be a possible pregnancy. They told me they use a lead apron and that it doesn't harm the belly or the baby, which already put me at ease a bit. I even placed my hands over my belly just to be sure.
The light pink bleeding has stopped; there's only normal urine color visible now.
I'll just count the days until I'm really sure that it's definitely a pregnancy.
