Rhesus C negative! What now?
Hi ladies.
I have a quick question. I am exactly 27 weeks pregnant today. At 12 weeks I had a blood test that showed my blood group (A pos), but also whether I was rhesus C or D positive or negative. It turns out I am rhesus C negative. This week I need to have another blood test to see if my body is making antibodies against the little one and what the rhesus factor of the little one is. If the little one is rhesus positive, there is a chance that I will make antibodies against it. I've read some pretty awful things online about what the consequences could be. Now you shouldn't believe everything you read, but there is an antibody injection for rhesus D, but not for rhesus C
Are there more ladies who were rhesus C negative and whose baby turned out to be rhesus positive? I'd love to hear from you! Best wishes, Wendy
