I'm 38 years old, and I'm building a new blended family with my husband. He has two boys, aged 12 and 6, who live with us all the time. I have a son, 13, and a daughter, 15. Now I'm 16 weeks pregnant with a baby from both of us. I figured that if we wanted another one, now or never was the time, because at my age you don't know how quickly you might get pregnant again. Just like with my previous pregnancies, I got pregnant right away. So far, I haven't really had any pregnancy symptoms, except for one complication: a low-lying placenta means I have to stay lying down for now. Since I had a serious bleed two weeks ago, hopefully, the placenta will move up in the coming weeks; otherwise, I'll have to stay on bed rest for a long time.
