Pregnancy wish

Hi everyone,

After so many years, there might finally be some light at the end of the tunnel.
A few years ago, my partner and I were told that we would never be able to fulfill our wish for a child,
that it wouldn't be possible in any way.
With courage in our hearts and our hands in our hair, we decided to go to a university hospital.
We had tests done, got Duphaston pills, and had an internal ultrasound 3 weeks ago for a check-up.

It turned out there was a mature egg, but they couldn't see if it was fertilized or not..
She also told us that I should definitely get my period the following week..

Now, the nausea, fatigue, frequent urination, headaches, and tender breasts are kicking in..
People are starting to say I'm becoming a whale, that I'm really getting fat and heavy..

But now I'm afraid to take the test, my boyfriend keeps putting it off to avoid disappointment..

Now I'm sitting here with my hands in my hair, asking for your advice..
What should I do now if I were actually pregnant, or if it's just a pseudocyesis?

Greetings, Lieke

    Hey Lieke,
I understand the fear regarding a possibly negative test... But I'd really like to have certainty. Then you know where you stand and what to expect. I'd immediately get my blood drawn by the GP, then you're 100% sure that this result is correct. Because those urine tests are usually reliable, but still...

Anyway, I hope for a positive outcome for you both, good luck
    xx
