What does an osteopath do?

No idea what or how they do it exactly. I know from experience that it works! My son had the same problems when he was a few months old. The osteopath presses very gently on the tummy (at least, that's how it looks from the outside), and my son started pooping the next day! And the sleep problems improved a lot too. It's covered by health insurance. If it doesn't help, maybe a mesotherapist could help?

    Hi,

An osteopath looks for loss of movement within the body. They examine the whole body because a problem in one area can cause complaints elsewhere. For example, with colic, this could be due to the intestines themselves, but also, for instance, too much tension in the peritoneum. On the other hand, there could be a loss of movement in a certain cranial suture through which the tenth cranial nerve (nervus vagus) passes. This leads to excessive stimulation of the nerve, which innervates (a large part of) the digestive system.
The techniques are gentle, especially for (young) children.

    Kind regards,
