Empty pregnancy sac

Hi everyone,
New here... Went to the first ultrasound yesterday and it was supposed to be 7 weeks and 4 days, but they saw an empty gestational sac and yolk sac!
Do you think it’ll still be okay?
Help me! My partner has given me no hope.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Kruimel. At 7 weeks, you should have seen something. If there's nothing now, unfortunately, it won't show up anymore either. Have you had any bleeding? A miscarriage is never nice, strength to you with that. And hopefully, it'll be successful next time!

Thanks for the replies. The GP said we're either too early or something went wrong. I have to go back for an ultrasound next Friday.
I feel so unsure and awful!
But I also read so many forums where things turned out completely different within a week because implantation happened much later than expected!
    I can't wait, grr

I understand you can't wait, and this is going to be a really tough week for you both
It could indeed be that you're less far along than expected, due to later ovulation or implantation, but then you'd be 1.5 to 2 weeks earlier than thought, which is quite a lot...

Was the ultrasound internal or external?

Keep hoping, but also keep in mind that things might not be right.

    Strength!

Yes, I'll keep it in mind. I just went for a walk with my family and thought I was bleeding, so I went to the toilet, but it turned out to be a lot of white discharge. I'm not sure what to think, especially since with my first baby I also had a miscarriage at a later stage, but this time I was only 3 weeks along, and the early ultrasound was done internally.

    Love, Anouchka

It could still go either way. I hope for you that you were too early for an ultrasound. And if next week it turns out to be an empty gestational sac but you still have hope, you can ask to have another ultrasound done later.
Wishing you all the best and strength!

And how did things go from there, Anouchka? If it was indeed too early, you're probably at a point now where something is visible. Hopefully that's it instead of a (soon) miscarriage!
