Hi everyone,

I'm a 16-year-old girl and I'm dealing with a problem.
My last period was about a week and a half ago.
I normally take the pill and had a break that started on Saturday.
So I had my period for exactly 7 days, and then I restarted the pill the following Saturday, which was 8 days after my period started.
The next day I had protected sex, but I'm still worried that something went wrong. Is it possible that I could be pregnant even though I only took the pill for 1 day? I'm really scared because I've been having regular pain in my lower abdomen....

Greetings, anonymous 16

If you take your pill properly every day and have a pill-free week every week, the chance of being pregnant is really slim, okay. It does happen sometimes, but that chance is so incredibly small. I’d wait out the pill-free week and if your period doesn’t come, then take a test. Sometimes lower abdominal pain can also be caused by ovulation (I always felt that quite clearly) or a bladder infection. Good luck!
