What to do for allergies

I've had an allergy for years and was taking antihistamines. Now my GP says I shouldn't be taking them anymore. The result: I'm sneezing all day and have a very sore nose as a result. Does anyone have a tip?

Maybe it's an idea to go to a homeopathic doctor. Then it's also not harmful, and of course...
