Oh, exciting! December 6th... Good luck! Hopefully, you'll get pregnant again soon.

I was told to wait a year before getting pregnant again. But I accidentally got pregnant again at 7 months. I was so stressed... The gynecologist said as long as there's at least a year (12 months) between the births, it's fine. We say wait a year (so 21 months) so the risk is minimal for everyone, since some people heal faster than others. It's just general advice. I actually had my second baby vaginally with 14 months in between. I healed quickly overall (about 8 weeks) from the C-section and also recovered fairly quickly from my second birth.

No idea what the number 27 is doing in my text?

It really does vary from person to person when it comes to healing, but I'll just wait calmly to see what the gynecologist says.

    Hi ladies,
I just got back from the gynecologist about an hour ago, and she advised me to wait another half year. But if I got pregnant 1 or 2 months earlier, that wouldn’t be a problem either.

Ok cool! How long do you still have to wait from now on? Or is it half a year from now?
  7. Melissa Guest #27

Yes, from now on I have to wait another half year (can get pregnant again in June 2017), but if I got pregnant 1 or 2 months earlier, that wouldn't be a problem.

    Hi ladies,
I’ve spoken to my own gynecologist and got the green light to get pregnant again

Hi ladies, a quick question: I want to get pregnant again. It will be my 4th C-section, and I gave birth 13 weeks ago. Has anyone had experience with this?

Hi everyone, just a quick question.
For those who got pregnant sooner than advised, how did your pregnancy go? Or did it?
I gave birth via C-section on Saturday, 12 months ago.
And I really want a second child.
Well, my recovery went well. But I have to say that I still sometimes have trouble with jeans or when pressure is applied.

    Hi there,
I gave birth 5 weeks ago via C-section, but our son had physical disabilities and didn't make it.. they only found out at 35 weeks, so he had to be born.. We're going back to the hospital on December 28th for a check-up with the doctor and gynecologist, and we'll just ask how and what... We also have a son of 6.5 years old and are very sad and really want another baby...

Hey, how did it go for you in the end?
    What was recommended to you?
Did you have a C-section again?

    Hi,

I've had three C-sections in 3 years. Give yourself the chance to catch your breath. You'll feel it best yourself. If you're already looking up how long you should wait, you're secretly already thinking about it. If it feels right, then you're ready, really. My first baby was 9 months old when I was pregnant with the second. I was pregnant with our third when number two was 7 months old. Never had any problems, not a second of regret that it went so fast.
I was well monitored by the doctor and after my third C-section he told me I could go for a fourth baby.
It all depends on how quickly your body recovers.

    Hi hi,

I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant.. but now my daughter just turned 6 months old on March 29th.. who has experience with this?
  16. Mamna32 #36

I was told to wait at least 6 months to a year after a C-section. Ten months after my C-section, we stopped using contraception and it was immediate. I also followed all the advice about resting during the 6 weeks after the C-section.
My midwife did mention that you might experience pulling sensations from the scar. Fortunately, I haven't had any issues with that (yet)! Hopefully, it stays that way until the end!
Good luck to everyone who wants to get pregnant!

Hi ladies, I’d love some advice on this. With my first son, I had an emergency C-section during labor. My second son was born vaginally, but the C-section incision from the first birth tore. My third was a planned C-section. Now I’m wondering if it’s wise to have a fourth child, and if anyone here has experience with this.

    Hope to hear from you.
