@wendy, are you two together now?

We have a 15-month-old son and really want a second child.

    Hi hi,
Everything has pros and cons, I think.

I myself have 5 years between our kids.
I did want to get pregnant earlier, but well, you can't always choose that.

Personally, I find it wonderful that I've been able to fully enjoy both of my children!!

Especially the baby phase goes by so fast, and the toddler phase too!!

Our youngest is 2 years old, and we're planning for a third because at my age (37), it might get harder to get pregnant if we wait!!

But if we had more time, we'd probably still want 4 or 5 years between the second and third child!

Why? Because the toddler and teen phases with our kids have been pretty intense!

And a baby can also be intense, especially in the beginning... We think a bigger age gap feels better!!

And our oldest and youngest play together so nicely!!

And they fight less than I did with my sister who's 2 years older than me!!

    It's different for everyone though.

My son will be almost 5 when the baby is born I think it's a bit of a big gap, but on the other hand, not really, especially when you look at the future. Soon, the big brother can keep an eye on his little sister when going out, and when playing outside, there's always a big brother around. I had a similar age difference with my sister and brothers (12 years, 3 years, and 1.5 years), so I basically had the same experience as my daughter had in her early years. I was always well looked after, no matter what.

I also think it's a nice idea that you can enjoy both stages and give them equal attention. I'll have the baby/toddler/preschooler phase, while my son is going through a completely different stage. I find that quite nice
