I'm just curious if there are more people here who are pregnant with their fifth or sixth child? I'm currently pregnant with our sixth baby! Our kids are 16, 13, 11, 9, and 8 months old. I consider myself a blessed person with all these kids! And I'm super happy!

wow, I really respect mothers with large families. I have two little ones myself and find it already very busy and a whole challenge to divide attention. I'd like to have a third child someday, but then it stops. Then our life together begins. My husband and I have said to each other that I won't go for a third until my oldest is 7. My daughters Kyara and Vanessa are now. Kyara is almost five (January 31st) and Vanessa is now 3. I really respect women like you. I won't do it after you, such a large family. I'm already getting stressed out by them. I'm always so happy when they're in bed; only then does my evening begin. Heartfelt congratulations on your pregnancy and lots of luck with your baby. Greetings, Annet.

Hi Rosali, I also have a big family with 5 kids. Congratulations on your pregnancy! We do have a nanny, otherwise I would never have considered having so many children. We have a lovely nanny and the kids are crazy about her. They're even often happier with her than with me. So cute! When I sometimes pick them up from school myself, they're disappointed that Jennifer, our nanny, isn't there to pick them up. They're so fond of her. She makes their breakfast and eats with us, takes them to school, dresses them, puts them in the bath, puts them to bed, and helps the two oldest with their homework. I know what you mean. I also feel very blessed with so many kids. Greetings, Madelijne

Thank you! It's really not that busy, I promise! I already have 4 older kids and 1 little one. When they were all little, I was stressed too! All sick at the same time and stuff... wow... that was a chaotic time! In that regard, I have it much more relaxed now! It's pure enjoyment of our little girl! They carry her around on their hands and want to do everything for her... haha... We don't need an au pair... I even have to fight to be allowed to cuddle her myself;-)

Hi Rosalie, lovely girl! So it's definitely relaxing if you already have older kids, so this is a younger sibling? Enjoy your pregnancy and soon your little one, and it's also nice for your older kids to have such a small sister or brother. If I'm being honest, it sometimes gets a bit tricky when I see mothers whose kids are super happy with them and cuddling. I don't really have that with our kids; they see more of the "airy" side of being a mom than me, because I've been taking care of them since day one. Sometimes that's a bit hard, but yeah, it has its advantages too. Greetings, Madelijne.

By the way, I think the photo of your baby is really beautiful and cute. You should be proud of him! I just wanted to let you know. Greetings, Madelijne.

Hi Rosalie, first of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! I can totally imagine how happy you must be feeling right now. It’s not for everyone to have a big family. I have six children—five boys and one girl. I kept going until we had a girl, and now I’m stopping. I feel our little family is complete. When the sixth one was a girl, it was my heart’s desire. I’m so glad you want to share your happiness with us. I wish you lots of luck with your little family. Best wishes, Maike

Oh... do you have 5 boys?! That's awesome! We had a boy after three girls and we were over the moon! With our fifth baby, I really thought it would be a boy. I just couldn't believe they got it wrong, so silly! I didn't have a preference, it was just a gut feeling. I was already thinking of a name for him. It took weeks before I could switch gears and start thinking of the baby as a girl. It felt like I was suddenly pregnant with a different child..haha. Deep down, I'd really love it if this time there's a boy in my belly, but it would be nicer for our little girl to get a sister, and practically it makes sense too...everything is pink here because of the little girl..

Hi Rosalie, I totally get what you mean. I felt exactly the same way during my second pregnancy. I thought, "Okay, cool, another little guy to add to the family."

For my oldest son, but then during my third pregnancy, I wanted a girl so badly that when the midwife said it was going to be a boy, I asked her, "Are you really sure?" She laughed and said, "Yes, very clearly a girl. I can't make it anything else." I suddenly felt very disappointed and even sad. I had hoped so much for a daughter, and that feeling only got worse. The hope grew stronger, and I longed more and more for a daughter. But during my fifth pregnancy, I went completely crazy. I thought, apparently I'll just have to accept that I'll never be a mother-daughter pair. You know, mothers and daughters do things together, share with each other, the mother-daughter bond. I have and still have a really good, fun bond with my mom; we're very close together, and I wanted that too. But I was so sad and thought, maybe I don't deserve to have a daughter. It became kind of an obsession for me. Then my husband calmly said, "You need to let go of that strong wish to have a girl, otherwise it'll only get worse for you." So I did that. He said, "We'll have one last child, and if it's a boy, we'll just stop and accept that." And then during the ultrasound, they said it was a boy, and I was so happy! I couldn't believe it. I thanked God countless times. And it's funny that it was the opposite for you guys, oh, how cool, so many daughters. I think that's really cool. I often thought that my husband couldn't make girls. During the pregnancy of my princess, I said, "Dear, you can make at least one girl, ha ha."

typed too fast, I meant a girl was mentioned, a mistake from my phone, it kept attaching the previous word to the end of the young one from my previous sentence, sorry
  14. maike Guest #15

Sorry Rosalie, some of the words got copied by my phone from my previous sentences. I hope you can still follow along. It's so annoying that my phone sometimes works so poorly.
  15. maike Guest #16

and I didn't notice it because while I was typing, I was also busy with my little boy. He kept pulling on my sweater, so cute. He wants me to just...

Haha..no worries! I get what you mean! It's really fun having daughters! I already have a 16-year-old who's dating! It's so nice to experience that! We talk about everything...and often go grab a coffee in town..the daughter below her is 13 and is now developing into a little lady...really fun!
