Hi everyone. I'm new here as of today, so I'll introduce myself right away. I'm Annemarie, 29 years old, and I live in Leidschendam with my partner and our dog. We've been together for almost 13 years and are currently happily expecting our first baby (27 weeks). We're under the care of an obstetrician because I had emergency surgery for a hernia at 9 weeks pregnant... and I've lost 80 kg and barely gained any weight back. That's pretty much it. I'm really looking forward to the forum and will definitely pick up some tips!

Hi Annemarie, heartfelt congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to this forum! It's nice to read your story. I'm Fay, 27 years old, living in Schiedam with my husband. He's 39. My daughter Yara is almost five (born January 31st), and my daughter Mila is 3. Such a treasure! I wish you both lots of luck with your baby. Enjoy your pregnancy and this special time—you know how it goes! Warm regards, Fay.

    Hi Fay,

Thanks for your message... I'm doing great, I'm 34.5 weeks and heavily counting down the days...

Tomorrow we'll see our little one for the last time on the ultrasound, it's exciting ;-)

How are you doing with yours?

    how exciting indeed
and do you want to know what it will be?
things are going well for me too, just very busy
my oldest daughter Yara will be 5 again on January 31st
sorry by the way I wanted to reply earlier but my computer has been acting up
    really annoying
that's why it took a while
    greetings fay

we're having a boy ;-) and last week we thought we'd be getting the final ultrasound...but that's not the case!

he suddenly fell 2 weeks behind in growth and weight. had an ultrasound on friday and next week if he hasn't caught up/grown then you'll be induced earlier (so it's quite exciting/tense)

fun party! little kids grow up so fast haha

    Oh, how lovely, a boy!
I was hoping for that during my second pregnancy, but it turned out to be a girl again.
During my second pregnancy, the midwives also thought our girl was on the small side,
and just to be safe, we got another ultrasound.
But luckily, everything looked fine then.
She was—and still is, by the way—a little girl.
    She’s 3 now.
Very different from her sister, who seems older than she actually is.
But the birth was much easier with the second one,
    because she was so small.

we're also just waiting for the ultrasounds...and hoping that little dw has grown well ;-)

and that the birth goes well is just a bonus haha...everything will be fine!

and 2 girls are actually nice..i have a younger sister (10 years younger) but wouldn't have wished for anything else
  9. fay Guest #10

Yes, I hope so for you too. I think it'll be fine, really. I wish you a smooth delivery in advance. I'd say, make sure you eat plenty of fruit and veggies and don't stress too much. That way, you're already doing plenty for your baby's health. Best wishes, Fay

I've been eating all day... just about everything. I've gained 1.8 kilos in total, so that's hardly anything. I can't do more than my best ;-)

    Thanks
  11. fay Guest #12

    that's true too
i ate a lot of mars bars during my pregnancy with my oldest daughter
and i had fruit every day
besides that, i drank a fruit juice with vitamins every day
    and smoothies are healthy
    and really tasty
    greetings fay

I deliberately didn't drink cola or other fizzy lemonades because the fizz in orange juice or cola takes vitamins away from your food, so the vitamins in your food can't be absorbed by the baby in your belly anymore. That's why I drank fruit juice and smoothies instead.

    Greetings, Fay

I basically only eat and drink healthy stuff... doesn't help anyway (due to the gastric bypass) we'll see... I shouldn't stress anymore..

The little boy is already active before 10 in my belly haha
  14. fay Guest #15

Well, that's only good for your baby that you eat and drink so healthily. And indeed, don't make yourself too stressed. It seems like your baby is having a good time, nice and active
    Greetings, Fay
