Wow, it's officially Arabic. But here it's a real Moroccan name, you know. And we Moroccans have Berber and Arab ancestors, among other things. eh.

The name Khalid, by the way, appears on the list of Moroccan boy names. And not on the list of Turkish boy names. Just saying. And I don't want to get into a discussion about names here. I just wanted to help the person who started this topic find a correct Turkish name.

    Eran, Yassin, Naïm ?

Nordin, it's given more often to Moroccan kids than to Turkish kids, the name Khalid. But it is and remains an Arabic name.
And it can definitely appear on your list.
But it is and remains an Arabic boy's name. My husband is from Syria and he says it's an Arabic name.
But indeed, it's funny that you say that.
It's indeed about helping the asker with a name instead of having a nonsensical discussion.
But since you yourself had so much fun making fun of people who mix up Moroccan and Turkish names, I thought to myself, you don't really know much about it either, judging by what you wrote.
But I'll leave it at that.
    I just found it funny.

As an autochthonous Dutch person, I don’t know much about Turkish names (nor Arabic ones, whether from Morocco, Tunisia, or Syria), but back in school, there were quite a few kids of Turkish descent who had beautiful and easy-to-handle names that Dutch people could write and pronounce:

    Girls:
    Ayse
    Aliye
    Fatma

    Boys:
    Erhan
    Murat

I didn't say I was 'lol' about seeing Turkish and Moroccan names mixed up. And I think you don't get what I'm trying to say. Khalid is indeed an Arabic name. You wouldn't hear me contradict that, would you? Morocco belongs to the Arab world, after all. Turkey does not. Nice that you have an Arabic friend. But don't try to tell me anything about the Moroccan or Arabic world, eh.

I don't need to tell you anything either. My husband said that. I assume he knows it well
And if it doesn't mean anything to you, what I say
And apparently tells you nothing new
Then you don't need to make such a big deal out of it
And keep making a point of it.
Well, I'll ignore your comments further
    On this discussion.
    For me, it's over

Yeah, your husband is right, it's also an Arabic name. Did I anywhere say that your husband is wrong? Morocco is also an Arab country. Just like Syria, yes, or Tunisia, Egypt, or Somalia. I don't really get your problem either. I'm not contradicting you anywhere. I just pointed out that Khalid is not a Turkish name, but rather a Moroccan, i.e., Arabic name. Turkey is not Arab. And Wenneke is looking for a TURKISH name. You keep going into discussion about Arabic, eh, as if I contradicted you somewhere? I actually confirmed that Khalid is indeed an Arabic name. So not a Turkish name. And that's exactly what's being asked here. But ok.

I think Aylin is super pretty too! Maybe you could go for Aydin for a boy?

Two more names for your list. My husband is Turkish and his name is Atilla, which I think is a really beautiful name. We also have a son named Dawoed and a daughter named Safiya.
