Hmm, no idea. Is your husband from a Turkish family? That's why the Turkish name?

Best wishes and good luck with choosing.

By the way, I knew a boy named Habib. I think it's Turkish, and I find it a really nice name for a boy.

I don't know if you mean for a girl or boy? But girl names: Tulien, Petik, Shielien.

It's for a boy, yes. The dad is of Turkish descent. We already have a son together, Koray, and now we're having another little boy.

Oh so cool, congratulations Mechien! Do you like Tarkan or Jasien? Greetings, Djamiela

These names are already in the family
What do you think of Eray?

Wenneke, what did you think of Habib? Also a really beautiful meaning.

    Hey Wenneke,
First of all, big congratulations on your pregnancy!
Boy names are always tricky, right!
Well, I knew a few Turkish boys from school, and I still liked Arkan. The others are all names you hear a lot, and I'm sure his family already has those names.

Like Djamila said, Yassine (you don't pronounce the e) is still nice. My ex-Turkish boyfriend had that name, and my brother does too, but it's an Arabic first name and not Turkish, though it's commonly used among Turks.

@ Hartje Habib is an Arabic name and means (darling, something valuable).

    Ceyhan is also nice

Oh, what do you think of Khalid? The pronunciation is Galiet. My first love was an Arab man from Syria named Zo. He was strong and handsome. This is a name from history; he participated in 180 battles and never lost. Seems like a nice name to give your son. Greetings, Djamiela

Just to clarify, not that man—my first love fought in so many wars, but he was very strong and breathtakingly beautiful. The man I'm talking about is from history; his name is Galiet. He won 180 wars. Seems like a great name for your son, honoring such a strong man. Greetings, Djamiela

    N. Coppola, I had looked it up on Internen and it was listed under Turkish names. I don’t know many people of Turkish descent, so I’m not very familiar with it, but I do think the meaning is nice.

I find it quite hard to find a boy's name in Turkish. My gynecologist says there's a 95% chance it's a boy, but I'm only 16 weeks along, and my gut feeling keeps telling me it's a girl. If it had been a daughter, I would have chosen the name AYLINE—I think it's super beautiful. But now it's a boy, and it's a terrible search.

For a girl, I would have gone with Tuline, pronounced Tuulin.

What do you think of Idris or Evren? I think they're nice Turkish boy names.
  17. N. Coppola #18

Yeah, I know that, haha. Every month when I went to the gynecologist, I’d always ask, “Are you sure it’s a boy?” And at 20 weeks, he said, “Here you go, madam, now you can’t ask me anymore if it’s a girl or a boy.” He even gave me an ultrasound with arrows pointing to his penis as proof, hhihi.
Yeah, I also think Ayline is a beautiful Turkish name. Which boy names do you find nice so far? What do you think of Arkan now?

What do you think of Emiel or Ismael?
  19. djamila Guest #20

or what do you think of Emier or Yesin (pronounced Jesin)?
