My son's name is from Sicily, Italy. His name, Tiamo (with an accent on the a), means "I love you, dear friend." My son was born in February 2002, and this June, a second boy named Tiamo (with an accent on the a) was born. My little one was the first to have this name in the Netherlands. My foster brother is from Sicily, and he got to choose his name, not knowing that Tiamo with an accent on the a would make him the first in the Netherlands. Without the accent, it indeed means "I love you," but with the accent, it means "I love you, dear friend."

I posted this because Tiamo with the accent on the 'a' is still very rare in the Netherlands. Without the accent, you don't hear the name much either. But with the accent, there are now only two.

As a half-Italian, I think it's a beautiful name for your son. With or without the hat haha, it's and remains special.

    Nice one!
