Hey Irma,

First of all, I wish your little angel a speedy recovery!

My son had it around the same age! I think it was at 4 months. I thought maybe it was because of his teething...
The doctor told me I was crazy and said he was way too young! (But my husband had his first tooth at 4 months) But yeah, I thought the doctor knows best...
So my son was very fussy and cried (screamed) from the pain, but they couldn't find anything wrong! We went home, and I had never seen my son cry like that before...
The next evening he was still crying, and then diarrhea, then stomach flu!
And 2 weeks later, his first tooth came in.

A colleague of mine, her daughter had her first tooth at 3 months...
At first, I couldn't believe it. I thought that's way too early...
Now I believe her. She proved it to me, and her daughter is only 3 months old now...
So yeah, maybe some babies get certain things much earlier than the average baby.

    Hi Irma,

I don't have any experience with this myself, but it sounds really tough, yeah.. pitiful to have such a little boy and not being able to tell what's wrong.
But indeed, it's better to have 2 people look just to be sure! I think it's also nicer for yourself.
Wishing you lots of success and get well soon to your little boy.
Let us know how it went?

    Love

    @ Irma
Well, I went back to the hospital (since that's where his pediatrician has his practice). They told me it was the start of a stomach bug, but they weren't sure, so my husband went the next day with a stool sample for testing, and indeed, it was exactly that. My son was drinking all his bottles fine, but once he finished, his diaper was completely full up to his neck, oh my!
He got antibiotics and something else to mix with water so he wouldn't get dehydrated.
Now I hope you have good news after your visit with the GP and that your son is feeling better by now.

A virus can last 3 days, I've looked into it completely.
Ears, throat, nose, lungs, little heart - everything is fine, luckily!
Giving extra fluids is okay, 3 suppositories per day and further lots of cuddling because that's the only thing he wants

If it's not over by Wednesday, I have to go back immediately or if the temperature gets so high that it's not normal, call right away or if he gets spots.

    That's good news!
Now we're all hoping the temperature won't rise anymore!

The only thing you can do right now is pamper your little one and give lots of love—it helps too!

    Lots of love

Up all night from 1 to half past 4, then slept in our bed until half past 7.
He wasn't having it, wanted to be with us..

This morning his temp was 38.2, just 37.5 earlier, hope it stays like that. It's still dropping though, he's still a bit clingy but there was finally a smile after 2 days.

Yes, I know that. Lots of strength, Irma. You're probably exhausted, but still wide awake to keep an eye on everything!
Yes, that kind of smile really melts your heart, doesn't it?
I'll admit, when my son takes my face in his little hands and gives me such a big smile, I do get a tear in my eyes!

    Hey Irma..

What am I reading now... Dean isn't feeling well!
How sad that is when you don't know what it is!
Good that you went to the urgent care center.
If you're not sure, that's probably the best thing to do! Luckily it's nothing serious and the fever has already gone down a bit, I read!
I haven't had it with Mana yet... but spoiling her and giving her a sense of comfort is the best thing for her!
    How are you doing now??

    Love

He's back to his old self, laughing and babbling again, but it was really unpleasant. Yes, Sunday night into Monday, we went to the out-of-hours doctor. And during the day we also went to the regular doctor because we didn't want to go in the night, but they couldn't really find anything. Anyway, with suppositories, pampering, and lots of drinking, it's gone now.

But anyway, they suspect a virus and for a 3-month-old baby, they accept fever for 3 days. It was always around 38, now it's normal again at 36.5-36.6.
