Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi hi,
I tested positive yesterday and today with an early test from Clearblue.
Exactly 4 months ago I also had a positive test, but unfortunately it didn't go well in the 11th week.

I'm happy that I tested positive again, but so scared that it might go wrong again...
Has anyone experienced this and what are the chances that it might go wrong again??

I just want to wish you congratulations! And I'll follow this topic because I've just had a miscarriage myself.. So all info about this is welcome
Try to enjoy this pregnancy! And hopefully it's just a placenta previa.

I was 9 weeks pregnant. Had a first ultrasound with a beginning heartbeat, shortly after everything stopped around 6 weeks.. The gestational sac continued to grow until 9 weeks.. Last Wednesday I had bleeding and a miscarriage.. It is indeed terrible, there is no other word for it... There are moments when I think I'm feeling a bit better and then I immediately fall into a dip again.. It will take time to get back on top of it...
Keep in mind that most women have a healthy pregnancy after a miscarriage! And indeed, if you've seen a first ultrasound with a good heartbeat, then most of the uncertainty is gone.. How far along are you now?

    Hi Samirah.
I also had a miscarriage in March.
We are pregnant again now. I'm going into week 11. Had 2 ultrasounds. The first showed 2 little ones, and the second only 1. Next week I'll have the 12-week scan. The symptoms are completely different now. I'm definitely scared, but I have faith! Good luck and congratulations!

    Hi, CONGRATULATIONS Samirah!
I had a miscarriage myself on June 7
And even though getting pregnant again is terrifying, I want it just as much as everyone else on this site. But I also think that if it happens again, I won't be as carefree about it as I was with the first pregnancy. But like Poesh says: Keep in mind that most women have a healthy pregnancy after a miscarriage!
I guess we just have to hold on to that thought..... Try to enjoy your little miracle as much as possible, no matter how hard it is.

Your story sounds very similar to mine.... I also saw the heartbeat and had a miscarriage at 10 weeks, but later it turned out that my little butterfly had also stopped growing at week 6.5. It is and remains really hard
It's been two months now, but I still think about it almost every day, and I don't think that will change.

I am exactly 4 weeks now.. still very early so but I do keep in mind that most pregnancies go well.

My miscarriage happened between 5 and 8 weeks, I think it went wrong very early because in week 6 they saw nothing on the ultrasound.
And yes indeed it is really bad... you can't make it any other way.
I still sometimes get that dip whenever I think about it.

I was 9 weeks along. Had a first ultrasound showing a faint heartbeat, but shortly after everything stopped around 6 weeks... The gestational sac kept growing until 9 weeks... Last Wednesday I had bleeding and a miscarriage.. It's indeed awful, there's no other word for it... There are moments when I think I'm feeling a bit better, and then I immediately fall into a dip again... It'll take time to get back on top of things...

Take it easy and give yourself time to process it.
And when you're ready to get pregnant again, just do it. Follow your heart!!

    So exciting!!
I think every woman feels insecure and scared after a miscarriage, but it's so hard to just put it aside.
I think that once I've had the first ultrasound, the insecurity will start to decrease a bit.
I'm glad they do multiple ultrasounds now due to miscarriages.
It gives me a better feeling that there's more control.

    Thank you!!
I'm trying to enjoy it, hoping to get rid of my insecurity soon.
But I'm just going to assume that this time it will go well.
Are you and your boyfriend or husband also trying to get pregnant again or...??

Of course you should assume everything will go well! Enjoy the time until the first ultrasound in a couple of weeks, and once you see the little heart beating, you can fully enjoy it all again! Except for the pregnancy ailments, of course :-) But you just have to accept those :-) Do you have any ailments??

Maybe it sounds strange, but my husband and I didn't stop trying after the miscarriage. I had this feeling that maybe it would be good to wait one cycle, but on the other hand, I thought my body knows when it's ready! But I still had one cycle and went all out in July :-) The grief/loss only fueled my desire for a little one even more!

Chantieeee, I feel the same way right now.. Even though it's painful right now, and even though the fear of another miscarriage is so big.. The desire is now sooo big, it's much bigger than the fear that it would go wrong again.. We're going to wait one cycle as recommended by the gynecologist and to give it a place to settle.. But after that we'll just start again. Mainly because of my iron deficiency etc...
You know, I'm 22 years old, I've had a desire for children since around 20.. But we always put it off as long as we had a reason, buying a house, renovations,.. You know the drill.. And because of my age we could put it off, but through this I suppressed my desire for children enormously, more than I realized until now. The real reason for putting it off was that I was scared of our parents' reaction, that they would think it was too early.. My husband is 4 years older, we got married last year without any negative reactions but still... And now that I was pregnant and the reaction of my parents and in-laws was so positive, I finally dared to fully open up to my desire for children.. And it's exactly that, that eats away at me now after my miscarriage.. And that's also the reason why I'm going for it again directly, the desire is so big...

My boyfriend and I didn't stop either; we started trying right after the miscarriage.
And indeed, our desire also grew stronger..
I hope it works out for you soon!!

I don't really have many ailments yet..just very tired and quite irritable haha.

    Congratulations..

I had a miscarriage in November at 11 weeks (the heartbeat stopped at 8 weeks).
And now, come Sunday, I'll be 23 weeks along.

No matter how hard it is, try to enjoy it, focus on being pregnant, not on your miscarriage..
I always told myself that I want to enjoy it, and if it goes wrong again, I can at least say I enjoyed it instead of just being stressed out.

Thank you! Congratulations to you too.
You're right that I should enjoy it and not focus too much on a miscarriage.
I'm also convinced that everything will be okay.

    Hi hi!

I had a miscarriage in Jan 2013 too.
I didn't go back on the pill because we
    really wanted a baby.
But for us it was a surprise!
I was pregnant after exactly 4 weeks!
I'm now 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant.
Try to enjoy it, and that fear can stay
I'm still at the midwife almost every week because I'm afraid something is wrong.
If you're in doubt, just call!

Wishing you both a beautiful pregnancy!
    Lots of love

    Wow, chantieee!! Congrats, girl!

Hopefully, this is just a false alarm and all that medical hassle won't be necessary.
Fingers crossed that it's for 9 months!
  18. Anonymous #19

Thank you so much, Poesh!!! I'm also hoping for a placenta previa! How are you doing??
  19. Anonymous #20

I secretly want to believe I'm pregnant again. But it's still scary.
