Pregnancy-induced hypertension

Iza
Hi,

Has anyone here developed pregnancy-induced hypertension (pre-eclampsia) during their pregnancy, and how did it go and resolve?
I myself had it during two pregnancies, and during the last one, it took quite a while for me to recover.

    Hi Iza,
    I’ve read something about it before. How did you experience it and what are the causes? How can you avoid poisoning?

    Hi Iza,

    With my daughter (first pregnancy) I also had pre-eclampsia, but I didn't really have any symptoms myself. I stayed in the hospital for a few days after the birth for observation, but that was it.
    With my son, I had high blood pressure again (diastolic 110-115), but no pre-eclampsia.
    And now again high blood pressure, I've gotten medication by now, but no pre-eclampsia this time either.

    Best, Gerda

    @iza,
    I've had pregnancy-induced hypertension twice, but it developed very late in the pregnancy. I had albumin in my urine and super swollly hands and feet.
    But otherwise no other issues.
    Though they induced labor each time at 37 weeks and once at 38 weeks, so they used PGE2 to start the contractions.
    With my son at 37 weeks, he wasn't getting enough nutrients because the placenta was malfunctioning and my son wasn't growing anymore, so it was better for him to be born.

    Love, Tammi

    I also had pregnancy-induced hypertension, but only towards the end of my pregnancy. High blood pressure, nausea. I was induced at 38 weeks and now have a healthy son! After the birth, my blood values stabilized within 3 days!
