not sleeping

Hi ladies

My 6-month-old son used to fall asleep pretty easily. I'd put him in his crib, give him a little cuddle, and he'd drift off.
But for the past two weeks, he's waking up at night, sometimes up to 4 times. The dummy and a pat or cuddle don't help anymore; he just can't get back to sleep, even though he's clearly tired. As soon as I pick him up and hold him close, he falls asleep right away, but then he's awake again after an hour.

Is this normal for his age?
Or do you have any tips?

Love, Mandy

How annoying as it may be, maybe just let them cry for a bit (it's nothing wrong with that, really). They already know pretty well that if I cry, they'll come running hehe

I do that too, but it keeps him calm for about an hour, and then he gets so upset that he starts spitting up.
I always let him calm down first, then after a while I take off his pacifier, give him a little pat on the head, and leave. Usually, he falls back asleep and wakes up shortly after, babbling a bit, and then starts screaming again.
And I really think they know exactly what's going on, hehe you little rascals.
Sometimes it's like he's fighting sleep.

    Hi Mandy,

At that age, it’s pretty common for them to start waking up again at night.
There can be various reasons.. maybe a tooth is coming in, or you’ve recently gone back to work? Maybe they’re experiencing separation anxiety..
It could also just be a phase where they’re processing everything.
Not much you can do about it hihi, it could be anything, but hopefully it’ll pass soon..
    Good luck, girl!

    Love,
