overall itching!!!!

Hi! I'm 37 weeks pregnant now and have been experiencing severe itching all over my body since week 34. It's so bad that I can't sleep anymore and I'm going crazy. At night I often cry because I'm so tired and just can't take it anymore... They've already checked if I have cholestasis and luckily that's not the case. So it's purely hormonal... I've been given loratadine for the itching but even that doesn't really help! Who here has experience with this and maybe some tips because I really don't see how I can go on like this for another 3 weeks xx

I have it at night too!!! Really dramatic... I'm almost every night under the shower. Then I smear myself all over with mama cream from Etos. Drink a cup of tea and a cookie. And then usually it gets better. And then around 4am I can finally sleep. Maybe showering helps you too as relaxation. And that cream also has a cooling effect. Or maybe menthol powder/cream through your doctor???

Yes, I do have menthol cream! But I'll definitely try the shower, thanks!

I had a lot of trouble with it at first, but it's not as bad anymore!!

I hope it helps you relax a bit!!!! I always get so tired from it... So then I fall asleep faster and have less itching. And that cream... I think it's absolutely amazing! Chilled, it feels so good on your skin....

Quick question... Is this itching accompanied by blisters on your skin?
I've had that for a week now... It's really weird, they look like the blisters I used to get from lying in the sun... And I haven't done that yet. However, we're heading to Italy this afternoon, so hopefully it won't get worse! First on my arms, then my shins, and now here and there on my belly too. I just keep slathering Calendula on it...

No, I don't have any stretch marks or rash or anything. Maybe just check this site to see what it looks like most for you, and maybe contact your GP or gynecologist. Strength! http://www.vrijvanjeuk.nl/jeuk-tijdens-de-zwangerschap/
