Hey girls,
That's so sweet of you to reply.
Yeah, indeed, 3 weeks of rest. You could indeed have something, nothing serious, because if you still get your period every month, then you have ovulation:-).
But in the clinic where I am and am very happy with, I was at my first IUI within 6 weeks, so it all went very quickly.
Well, we'll just keep waiting. Have a nice evening girls xxx -

Ohhh, are you in Brabant? Is that a private clinic? We live in South Holland, at a small hospital. So I hope we get help just as quickly! -

Hey girls,
Yes, it's indeed in Brabant and no, it's a clinic where you can go with a referral or a second opinion. Xxx -

Hi sweetie,
Yes, indeed, it started and went well haha. Today my husband has to submit another sample, and if that doesn't work out either, ICSI will be cancelled. I hope it goes well. How are you doing? -

Oh my goodness, how exciting... And was it anything? I hope so!...There has to be something possible, right? Wishing you lots of success and strength

Just spoke on the phone, the sperm was indeed a no-go. ICSI is cancelled and we have a final consultation tomorrow or Friday because it's very likely that we're out of treatment options. They can do a lot, but without sperm, no babies

Oh really.. There aren't words for this.. Were some cells found in you?.. Did they check everything thoroughly, including the ultrasound?.. Sorry, I know you don't want to hear this right now.. What terrible news.. I really feel so sorry for you.. Wishing you lots of strength, and hoping for a bright spot in your conversation ahead.. x -

That's what I was thinking... I've also heard that sperm can be retrieved from the testicles through surgery. -

Hi girls,
My husband has to go to the urologist next Thursday, Sept 5th for an intake and to plan the procedure (they'll retrieve sperm from the epididymis via biopsy). I'm just going to keep on with the injections because otherwise, the self-injections for the last 2 weeks would have been pointless. On Monday, Sept 2nd, I have an ultrasound to measure the follicles. Most likely, I'll have the puncture on Wednesday, Sept 4th. My husband can submit another sperm sample that day. Because if there's something there, they can still proceed with ICSI. If there's nothing in it (which is what we're assuming), my eggs will be frozen and we'll wait for the biopsy results. Once the biopsy is done, we'll get the results within 2 weeks to see if there are any swimmers and if they can be matched with my eggs. It's a mystery why there was sperm before and now there isn't; all the gynecologists don't understand it either. It's probably just a fluke that he had swimmers those two times. The gynecologist was even emotional, and we could see he was having a hard time with it too.
Thanks for the kind and encouraging words, and especially for the strength wishes, thumbs up, and thoughts for us.
Big hugs and kisses -

Hey.. wow, what a story you've had so far.. Glad the gynecologist is thinking along and feeling with you.. you're dealing with very personal issues after all.. oh a biopsy, I meant that. I'm really curious.. I read quite often that it's done that way. And it would be wonderful if something turns up during the puncture next week! But yeah.. I think it's really impressive that you're moving forward so smoothly. I'll be rooting for you! -

Hey girl,
I had my follicle scan on Monday and it turned out I have 16 follicles. I need another scan on Friday because they aren't quite the right size yet, and then probably Monday or Tuesday for the retrieval. So, still waiting a bit, girl. How are you doing? -

Ok but good news! We already went to the gynecologist. She called if we could come a week earlier, last Tuesday, because someone had canceled. Very relaxed chat! Nice person, clear, empathetic but straightforward. On the 24th I'll get an ultrasound for a check-up and blood test. See how things look. If that's good, we can do IUI the following month. Hormones still to discuss. We can say something ourselves and she gives advice. So super news... I think I do want hormones. More chances and seems to proceed with more certainty. We'll get that one shot anyway before the treatment itself. But... yeah. Super.. happy! Unbelievably fast. Now hope that everything is also a bit okay with me..
By the way, have you had more tests? I read a lot of positive stories about HSG. But they don't just do it, unless further investigation is needed. But it does seem positive for conception.
I wish you lots of success and strength! Hope!

Hi ladies,
I'm about to start my first IUI!
Next week, once my period has started, I can call for an ultrasound! -

Spa Bend lisaaaaa,
I also had my IUIs with Fostimon. I wish you lots of success, girl... Keep us updated? If you have any questions, you're in the right place here. xxxx -

Dear Lisaaaaa,
Fostimin worked really well for me. I don't know if the success rate is higher, I think it also depends more on the man's sperm. My husband unfortunately had very low sperm count, which is why we had to go ahead with ICSI. But yes, you also get Pregnyl; you get that because they want to be sure that your follicle releases, so that ovulation is triggered. If you have an IUI, you'll be told how much untreated sperm there was, how much processed sperm is injected into you, and what the motility is. Wish you all the best! -

Dear ladies,
I have my first IUI tomorrow, so exciting! -
lisaaaa&milan #40
Dear ladies,
Had my first IUI yesterday.
It was all manageable, except for the enema which felt a bit weird.
Had a lot of pain last night, but luckily no more discomfort since today!
Now I can calmly wait for my NOD (due date) which is February 19th.
I really hope it worked out, but I'm also keeping in the back of my mind that it might not have worked out
to avoid disappointment!
