Hey ladies. I don't see a thread for those of us who are overdue, so I'll start one. I'd love it if we could share our experiences in these final weeks.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant now and can hardly wait to meet my miracle.

Hey, I'm also due in May. Now at 34 weeks too. Blissful, isn't it?

I almost thought I was the only one . For me, it can go faster now, okay. But the baby must be at least 37 weeks, and that's in 3 weeks! Quite exciting. I'm really curious.

    How did your pregnancy go?

So far, everything has gone super smoothly. I really haven't had much discomfort. I wasn't nauseous at all, just a bit tired. But I find being pregnant blissful.
Only yesterday I got a bit startled. I had pain in my lower abdomen and lower back for two days, like a big band was around me squeezing tightly. I called the midwife and she suggested I go to the monitor anyway. The result was that I already had strong contractions. My cervix was a bit softer but no opening yet. I need to stay calm now because she has to stay in there for a little while! The OB prescribed contraction suppressants but I get headaches from them so I hope I don't have to take them for too long.

    How are you doing?

Oh, that sounds exciting! I hope the little one stays inside for at least 3 more weeks.

At the beginning of my pregnancy, I was really nauseous and tired. I have pelvic pain and gestational diabetes. What a complaint fest it is But otherwise, things are going well. I’m getting a miracle in return, so complaining isn’t really an option. I do think it could speed up a bit now.

    Hey,

Due in early May, but it can come now, I'm telling you;-)
Can't sleep comfortably anymore and haven't been able to lie on my stomach for a while, pfff.!
It feels like I'm only now starting to get all sorts of issues, back pain, hard belly,
    stabs, and so on.!

But otherwise everything is going fine...

I'm really curious about my little guy.!
    So come on ;-)))

I find it really exciting too, especially now that I'm over 35 weeks pregnant. I have to say it's getting a bit heavier with all the discomforts, and I'm just thinking that I still have to work for another week .

I can't wait to finally meet my wonder.

My due date is May 7th, and next Tuesday I'll already be 36 weeks pregnant. It's going by so fast, I can't wait to hold my little girl in my arms
Exciting... good luck to everyone with the upcoming birth

Hi! I’ll be 34 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Unfortunately, since yesterday I’ve been in the hospital on contractions suppressants and lung maturation shots. Yesterday I had hardening contractions and practice contractions (I thought). I went to the hospital once, and it turned out I had 1 cm dilation, my cervix has softened, and my cervix is now only 1 cm short. They’re suppressing the contractions until 34 weeks, so it’ll still be exciting to see whether labor continues or not. Good luck to everyone!

Hi Vera, I hope your little one is still happy lying there. That’s quite a shock, isn’t it? How are you doing today?

    Hi mama ok,

Yeah, it's going well. Had the last uterine relaxant this morning. Now on the CTG. Gotta go for a quick walk soon to see if the contractions come back. If they don't, I can go home this afternoon. Anyway, if labor continues, they'll let us bring our little one home.

How exciting! How did it go, Vera? Are you home already?

Hi ladies, my due date is also May 21st, but my midwife thinks I'll deliver a week earlier. Hopefully that's the case because it's getting quite difficult, especially to sleep, and I'm getting heart palpitations in my throat and then a feeling of tightness. Not fun.

Vera, hopefully your little one stays in a bit longer. It's still quite early.

    Greetings

Hi Stefanie. I totally get you. But just a little more.

Sleep is becoming a disaster. Waking up 1000 times due to back pain, needing to pee, turning around. Waking up in the morning with hard bellies.

We're going to the OB/GYN later, I'm curious. I have gestational diabetes. They'll check if the baby is growing well. Last time they said the amniotic fluid was lower, I'm so curious. I've been in tension for two weeks.

Ps: Vera, I hope everything is going well.

My due date is May 30th, but I'll be having my second baby a week early via planned C-section
I've gained 16 kg so far and feel completely fine... the only pregnancy ailments I have are heartburn and I sometimes waddle a bit (the first 10 steps when I get up in the morning or after sitting for a while...)

    Hi everyone,

Yes, it went well. The contractions have stopped. I was allowed to go home on Thursday. I can honestly say that my stamina is really going downhill now. I can barely do any shopping anymore. My belly gets hard and tight all of a sudden and my legs hurt so much!!!!!
But otherwise, all good! By the way, since I left the hospital, I've been sleeping a bit better. No more trouble with numb (dead, tingling) and painful arms. It's amazing to be able to sleep through the whole night.

By the way, everyone (including my mom) says that my belly is very low now. That it won't be long. I believe it, haha.

Today I've had hard belly all day non-stop. That's less good ........:-(

Is everything else okay with everyone?

    Best, Vera

Hi Vera, nice to hear that your baby is still hanging in there. But it's annoying that you're having so much discomfort. Hang in there a bit longer, it's almost over .

@Sandra, it's nice to be jealous of when you have few complaints . It does have its perks when you know when the baby is coming.

Yesterday I went to the OB-GYN and the internist. Everything is going well, the baby is very average. The baby hasn't dropped yet, but he is head down. So we'll wait and see when the baby starts showing signs. If the baby doesn't show any signs by week 41, we'll see what we can do.

Hi ladies, how are you all doing? Still no signs of labor here.
  18. stefanie.b. #19

Hi! Everything's pretty okay here, just dealing with hard contractions, lots of sleep, and really no motivation to do anything. I still need to pack my bags—pretty exciting, but I've already washed, ironed, and put away the crib, park seat, and buggy. And now I still have to pack my suitcases! Later I'll be giving birth and won't have anything to wear for me or our little one. That's just how I am—always leaving things till the last minute :-)

Everything's good here too. Already 39 weeks. Can't wait until she feels like showing herself I'm getting more and more impatient hihi

Good luck to everyone with the ups and downs!
