What’s the best to eat when pregnant and what’s an absolute no-go?
I’m quite a chip eater, would it be bad if I had chips once a week?

And I mean before the pregnancy too.

    Hi emmy19

Chips won't harm the little one in your belly. It is a bit of a fattener for yourself if you eat too many chips though.
You absolutely shouldn't have filet americaine, sushi, raw meat, etc.
For the rest, it's best to just eat a varied diet. The Dutch Food Pyramid, so to speak. The VK can tell you a lot more about it.

It's totally fine on its own.
    Eat healthy alongside it:
    fruit, meat, veggies.
Then you can enjoy chips as long as it's balanced.
    Alongside sweets, also eat healthy.
    Then it's all good.

You could also check if you're immune to toxoplasmosis. If you're not (like me), be careful with raw vegetables. I eat everything at home because I know it's properly washed. But if I order a sandwich or something elsewhere, I leave out the veggies—I don't always trust sandwich shops. Normally, they check that immunity pretty early on. Also, watch out for raw meat, raw fish, and raw cheese (cheese made from raw milk: blue cheese...). Coffee isn't recommended either, but it's okay in small amounts (unless you have acid reflux like I do—then avoid it completely!).

In Principe, you can definitely indulge, but make sure to eat healthy alongside it. For example, you can have sweets, but also eat some fruit alongside them. And don't forget to drink healthy smoothies or something similar. As long as you don't drink alcohol or smoke, you can have sweets or chips, but also eat healthy fruit and such to keep things balanced.
    Greetings, Madelene
