Overstimulation Puregon

Hi ladies,

We've been trying for a baby since September.
I had Clomid for the first 3 cycles, 50 mg, 100 mg and 150 mg. Unfortunately, I never ovulated.
Because I had very light periods (even after the stimulation cycle), I was briefly worried that I might be entering early menopause, but that wasn't the case.

Last week, I started with Puregon 75 IU (the lowest starting dose at this hospital).
On day 10, I had an ultrasound.
The gynecologist was quite shocked. There were 3 or 4 large follicles (around 20mm) on each ovary, plus several smaller ones (around 14mm).
Naturally, we didn't get the Pregnyl shot and had to abstain from sex.
I was completely taken aback by this news; I hadn't expected any follicles at all.

I now have an appointment with his colleague who specializes more in fertility issues, and we need to avoid unprotected sex for the next two weeks.

My mind is racing with all sorts of thoughts right now.
I'm worried that my boyfriend's sperm might still fertilize the eggs, since we did have sex the evening before and the morning of the ultrasound.
I'm also afraid of developing cysts or something similar.

The doctor told me to call if I get abdominal pain, feel nauseous, or get diarrhea.
Well, my bowels have been upset for 2 days now; could that be due to overstimulation?

Oh, how frustrating this is. Months of trying with Clomid with no result (each time waiting for my period to come naturally or starting Primolut), and now too much result, so we're back to a waiting period.
