Bladder infection

I have a question. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and I'm really struggling with hard contractions.
I had a urine test done with a stick at the GP, but nothing came out.
Still, I have to pee a lot and I still feel like I might have a bladder infection. What can I do now?

Talk it over with your midwife. 20 weeks and frequent hard contractions is pretty early. Maybe you're doing too much. Take more rest and see if it gets less frequent. Frequent urination is also pretty normal at this stage.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I'm having pain in my calf, and I'm not sure if that's normal.

When I was 20 weeks pregnant, I had to go to the toilet almost every 5 minutes.
So I wouldn't stress too much.
Because the baby puts pressure on your bladder too.

At 10 weeks, I had a slight feeling that I had a bladder infection,
I bled a tiny bit in my urine,
but the pain was gone so I thought no problem! Didn't want to complain..
2 weeks later, my partner took me to the hospital with a fever of 38.7 and unbearable back pain, (I cried through it all in 2 days!!)
I fainted at the reception desk, and he barely caught me in time!!
My kidneys were infected!! Severe urinary tract infection, resulting in a week in the hospital!!
I wish I had reacted earlier instead of just biting my tongue!!

Go to the midwife or gynecologist. My GP also said I didn’t have a UTI, but I didn’t fully trust that, so I went to the gynecologist instead, and it turned out I had quite a bad UTI. Better to get tested too many times than too few, because a UTI can indeed cause hardening of the belly that can progress into contractions (in the worst case). Good luck!

Try a VK test instead of a HA one?

I've had two negative tests at the HA in one week. However, they themselves didn't trust the last result, so now it has to go to the lab of the local hospital for further investigation. I'm curious what will come out... I feel like I've been to the hospital too many times for tests in the past 4 months.

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and this is my 2nd time with a bladder infection. After two rounds of antibiotics, I'm clear for now. I mainly felt pain in my lower abdomen when urinating and had constant urgency. You're better off getting tested too often rather than assuming the symptoms will go away on their own. This can be very dangerous! Especially in the third trimester, a bladder infection can even trigger contractions.
