Abnormal NT, amniocentesis

I've been hesitating for a long time to write this. But here it goes. We're pregnant with our first baby. Unfortunately, we had an abnormal NIPT result, with a risk of Trisomy 18. It said at the bottom: 'the positive predictive value of this test for this trisomy for this patient is 20%'. Tough sentence, right? The gynecologist was optimistic, but the geneticist was so negative that all our hope was wiped away.
Now we're waiting 2 weeks for an amniocentesis. Can you guys give me a little hope? Are there any people who had an abnormal NIPT but where everything turned out to be OK? Our ultrasounds are always good! But the doctor said that for this trisomy, it would only become visible on ultrasounds later on.
Thanks in advance for your experiences. I really need some hope! I'm currently 13 weeks and a few days. The amniocentesis will happen when we're 15 weeks.
