FSH elevated

Hi ladies,
Has anyone had experience with elevated FSH? My FSH was 12, measured on cycle day 3. Nothing else has been measured yet. The nurse says it's slightly elevated, but isn't 12 actually too high?
Lately, I've only been bleeding for 1 or 2 days, whereas before it used to last well over a week. My cycle also seems to be getting shorter; it used to be well over 31 days, but now it's 29 days, and sometimes 27 days.
Has anyone experienced this, and do you have any advice?
I'm afraid I might be entering menopause soon…
