'Bubbling' intestines in an ICSI journey?

Hi everyone,

Last week I had a transfer in our ICSI cycle. So I'm right in the middle of the stressful two-week wait. I'm now taking Utrogestan three times a day. Now I notice my bowels starting to 'rumble'. And for me, that's usually not a good sign because it normally indicates an impending period. So I'm already stressing out that this attempt wasn't successful. I know I can't do anything but wait, and I still have a solid week to go.

I'm curious if anyone recognizes 'rumbling bowels' in an IVF/ICSI cycle?

    Hi Lira,

I don't recognize your bubbling intestines, but I do know the feeling of thinking it didn't work out. My first IVF was over a year ago, and my son is almost half a year old now I really thought it hadn't worked until one day before I was allowed to test, when I knew it had because of my very strange eating habits that week.
Hang in there, keep your spirits up! The whole journey is worth it!

What a nice message from Anoniem! It's so relatable that at such a moment you can already be pretty sure of nothing. That weird eating behavior... sounds familiar, haha. Hellasha indeed, what a rollercoaster it all is. I wish Lira lots of success and hope that the gurgling intestines stop soon!
