Positive ovulation test 2 days before OVD

Good morning everyone!

Quick question: I had positive ovulation tests on January 10th and 11th. After that, they turned negative, so my ovulation was probably on January 13th.
Today is 11 DPO, but I've been feeling weird for the past few days. (No sore breasts, but nervous/butterflies feeling in my stomach and whole body, and a strong desire for sex).
I took an ovulation test yesterday because I don't have a pregnancy test at home, and it turned positive! I've heard before that ovulation tests can also react to hCG, what do you guys think? This is my first cycle without the pill.

    Ovulation tests do sometimes react to hCG. I took one early in my pregnancy too, but only after a positive pregnancy test. I was curious if it would actually work and still had one lying around. Mine turned clearly positive right away. A thick test line, much clearer than the control line!

    As I can see from your photo, the test line is also much thicker than the control line, but you can only be really sure after taking a pregnancy test.

    Technically speaking, I'd say you could be pregnant. But since it's only your first cycle off the pill, it's also possible that your cycle is a bit off and you're ovulating now for the first time. With the side note that I got pregnant right away in my first cycle off the pill with my first child, so that's quite possible too!

    I'm curious to hear if you take a pregnancy test.

    I hope so! Wednesday is my expected period, otherwise it would be weird if that's when my ovulation is now or again. This one was very clear using ovulation tests on Jan 13. Or maybe I could have two ovulations, then it could totally happen haha.
    I'll calmly wait until Wednesday to take the pregnancy test!

    Wow, I have to test on Wednesday too! I’ve already been feeling nauseous for a few days!! But I’m scared to take a test because we had a miscarriage in October... it’s so nerve-wracking!!

    I'm going to do one more ovulation test tonight. I really don't feel ready to take a pregnancy test yet. I'll save that for Wednesday, I think!
    If my ovulation test is positive again tonight, I'll get a little bit of hope haha. Unless this is really my ovulation now, we'll see! It's all quite exciting.

    Then we're on the same page!
    I understand your anxiety; I also had a really tough miscarriage in the past. I still struggle with it sometimes.
    If I were you, I'd just wait until Wednesday. Then we can kind of "test" together

    Currently experiencing some other symptoms;
    Warm cheeks, feeling woolly in the head.
    And mild menstrual cramps, but it feels a bit different from actual menstruation. Maybe it's false alarm and period is coming
    We'll see..
    Still no tender breasts though.

    That's exciting, Kimmi! I hope you get a positive test on Wednesday!! I only had sore nipples last week, but now they're gone and I have more "pimples" around them. I've been nauseous off and on the whole time, and my bowel movements are difficult too. I feel so down because I think I'm just going to get my period!! We're still rooting for you.

    Definitely exciting! And if it's the ovulation itself that's making the test positive, that's still great, because we did "work hard" yesterday. So it'll be exciting again in 2 weeks!
    What you said sounds hopeful too! But often your body can play tricks on you, but we'll keep hoping!

    Kim, take a pregnancy test! I think it's definitely a yes. I'm halfway through my pregnancy and I recognized your symptoms; a bit of nausea, cramps or a feeling in your uterus and lower down like you're about to get your period. I also often thought I was pregnant but then I checked and it was just discharge. Then it was a yes. More desire for sex wasn't a sign for me, I always have that!

    I just took a pregnancy test, and unfortunately, it’s negative. So no pregnancy. But maybe a late ovulation? Or maybe my body is reacting so strongly to the period I’m about to get.

    Strange, but not unusual for your first pill-free week. But is your discharge also like it is during ovulation?

    My discharge was pretty transparent and a bit watery/mucusy in the last few days. But not white. I don't pay much attention to it anyway because I wear panty liners.
