    @beertje let's hope Sunday's test went well

    I can't wait, hehe! I'm on the waitlist, 3dpo, and already counting down to 11dpo.

    Hihi, I've got a new profile picture. It's from just now. Visible after 1 minute already and looking good. My friend said, "Test it out now." She finds it suddenly exciting hihi.

  9. Orchidea #29

    Haha, great! When would your due date be?
  10. Beertje123 started this #30

    June 14th . I signed up with the midwife practice last night.
  11. Orchidea #31

    That's lovely. Exciting, I'm curious when you're having your first ultrasound.
  12. Beertje123 started this #32

    Yes, me too! And I hope that my partner is still allowed to come along...
  13. Orchidea #33

    At our place, the partner is allowed to come along for ultrasounds. Not for check-ups. Hopefully, things stay this way, and the ultrasounds won’t be canceled again or reduced to just phone calls or practice visits that are treated as mere check-ups.

    Ah okay, yes, that's nice to know, thanks!

    When did you tell your work?
    I'm a beauty therapist/masseuse and I'm fully booked every day with treatments. But the massages are really killing me now .
  15. Orchidea #35

    I told it right away at work to my boss... ;-) Just kidding, I'm a stay-at-home mom. At my previous job, I worked in uniform in public spaces, so I told them quite early, around 8-9 weeks, after the first ultrasound. We had to do administrative work during the pregnancy at the office, and it was also too dangerous to keep working due to the risk of aggression. Now I'm happily at home with our two-year-old daughter, so I can really enjoy being pregnant—it's a world of difference. No work stress ;-)..

    Just see how you feel, whether you feel comfortable telling them after the first ultrasound, and if not, I'd say tell them after 12 weeks. You can always come up with an "excuse" if you don't want to announce your pregnancy at work yet.

    Wow, congratulations! I saw the message, thanks!

    Ah okay! Sounds lovely to me.
    Everything worked out well then, right? ^^
    Yeah, I'll check and discuss it at home.
    The practice will contact me on Monday, so then I'll know more .

    @amelie thank you
  18. Orchidea #38

    Exciting, are you going to test again on Sunday?
  19. Beertje123 started this #39

    Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. All my symptoms are just getting worse and I'm getting new ones too... so I think things are probably okay now.

    With my first pregnancy, which ended in a miscarriage, I didn't have what I have now. They say every pregnancy is different, but this one just feels so much more mentally.

    It's nice that I'm entitled to an early ultrasound. I'll definitely take advantage of that. But I'll hear more about it on Monday .

    I really did it just for fun, and I loved seeing the tests progress, especially after a miscarriage at 5+ weeks. After 20 rounds of trying, this really felt like a “blessing.” Obviously, it’s up to you. I’d still do a test on your period, just to be sure. Because things can still go wrong before your period, and afterward you’ll have more certainty—that’s what my midwife advised. Obviously, do what feels right for you. Enjoy it, including your early ultrasound. I got one at 7.5 weeks, and I even took an early scan at 6 weeks. It was wonderful to see everything was okay and that the little heart was beating.
