Menstruation

Ladies,
I gave birth 2 months ago and got my first period after 8 weeks (I also started the pill right away). I'm now in my pill-free week and still spotting. I've already contacted my GP, and they said this is normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

This is the spotting I've had for almost a month now.

I had that with my first pregnancy—I kept bleeding, but it turned out the gynecologist had inserted the IUD incorrectly.

    I don't have an IUD.

I had this too. Almost a whole year of irregular periods, despite my pill. I usually got my period a bit earlier than before my break week. And my period would last until the next pill started. And a lot of blood. I also went to the doctor several times back then. This was indeed not unusual. And now it's back to normal like it used to be.

    Thanks for your reply.
With my previous birth, this was never the case, and my period always came on time and was never irregular. I start the new patch on Monday.

Exactly the same with me. Didn't have it during my previous birth either. Only this time.

I’d personally take at least six months off the pill. Give your body a chance to recover and get back to normal. Your hormones are all over the place, and the pill makes that even worse.
De-pregnant yourself and give your cycle a chance to recover.
