Sleep and eating routine

Hey everyone,
My son is now 9 weeks old and has absolutely no rhythm yet. We always follow a sleep, eat, cuddle, play routine.
He drinks about 150 ml every 3-4 hours. In the evening, he sometimes finishes his last bottle as early as 8 PM and then sleeps until 5 AM. If I try to wake him at 11 PM, I can barely get him awake, and he doesn’t drink very well either. He still ends up waking up at 5 AM as usual.

How can I stretch this out to 6:00/6:30?

Love,

Sorry, but what are you talking about? Your baby is 9 weeks old. Most babies that age aren't capable of sleeping through the night like that, and your baby is already sleeping 9 hours straight. Personally, I wouldn't change anything, because there's a good chance that if you start tweaking the routine, it'll mess up the rhythm or cause restlessness. There's a good chance he'll start sleeping longer on his own if you bring a bit more structure during the day. Check out Stephanie Lampe's sleep rhythm guide; it explains exactly how long a baby of that age can stay awake for.

And for now, just enjoy that your son is already sleeping so well. Otherwise, just get some early rest yourself, so you can get your sleep too. ;-)
