No idea if this belongs here, but I'll just post it anyway.
Our 3.5-year-old daughter has had a lump on the right side of her neck for about a year now, I think it's a lymph node. You can see the lump, it's about 1 cm big, movable, not painful and doesn't grow. Still, I notice the lump every day, especially when I do her hair and stroke past it. I've already taken her to the doctor twice, but they say it's nothing and as long as it doesn't grow, it can't do any harm. Still, it doesn't sit right with me, why doesn't it go away? She's otherwise perfectly healthy at first glance, but we are still a bit worried about that lump. Do you recognize this? And would you go to the doctor again?

    My son has that too.
You also have lymph nodes, maybe that's what you're seeing. As long as it remains movable, it's harmless.

My son is just 5 months old, almost 6, but he’s had a swollen lymph node in his neck since he was 1 month old. At first, we thought it was because of the cradle cap he had. That’s been gone for almost 3 months now, but the lymph node isn’t. They say here too that it’s no harm and the most important thing is that it doesn’t grow. I totally understand how you feel, I don’t like having it there either and hope it goes away soon. In my son’s case, it’s a bit smaller, I’d say max half a cm.

Oh, I just noticed that autocorrect changed it to "lymfeklieren," but I meant "lymfeknopen."

Our son has this too, and he also has a little lump in his tummy. He’s almost 5 now, and indeed, as long as it doesn’t grow or bother him, it’s not a big deal. We’ve been to the doctor several times because I didn’t quite trust it, but now I’m reassured. I wouldn’t worry too much—like you read, this comes up quite often. Just keep an eye on it to see if it changes or not. Our GP also said that 9 out of 10 kids just grow out of it. Good luck!

Been here for 2 years. Sometimes big, sometimes small.
