Please type correctly first because I don't fully understand what you're trying to say.

    Thanks a lot, Anne.
It's only been three years since the system changed for us, and we have to work until the baby is six months old. Before that, the rule was to stop immediately because of all those risks mentioned above. Apparently, these risks no longer exist, which is obviously nonsense. Also, the "adapted work" doesn't exist in my job. The reality is simply that hospitals, especially smaller ones, are under financial pressure. Savings are being made and are still being made in social security, and our healthcare is part of that. It's expensive for a hospital if they have to miss staff. That means they have to cover all those hours and consequently hire a few extra staff members. Or they replace someone who is sick, which also happens regularly, while still needing to meet minimum staffing requirements. Additionally, our hospital still has the 'permanent' status. This only exists in education in Belgium anymore. Current nurses no longer fall under that status. But the hospital still has to pay pensions to all those permanent staff who are already retired. So they're paying for staff who no longer work. That's also a big problem, of course. The patient is obviously also the victim of these savings, but that's another sad topic...
The only ones I know who can stay home immediately are preschool teachers and, in the past, psychiatric nurses. I think they're starting to come back to that as well.
    Greetings

Thank you for your patience, Joy!

Anon is such a sad person who likes to tear others down and act like they're the victim. Ohhhh, because she's been through so much in her life
Just ignore her, people like that feed on attention and it's so easy to type tough stuff from behind a computer. You must be so proud of yourself, anon. Keep it up, and I hope you rot away in a corner soon

Enjoy your pregnancy, colsar. Hopefully, you'll have a healthy baby in your arms in 8 months.

Thanks for your explanation, learned something new again It's also nowhere else, so here in home care it's hopeless too, every minute is turned around, short shifts and still complaining if I'm 3 minutes somewhere for too long. And then being surprised that one colleague after another has a burnout. My joy is unfortunately gone too, even though I'm crazy about the clients. So I'm going to retrain. I understand your decision, if there ever comes a pregnancy here, my husband and I have decided that I definitely don't want to work in care anymore.

Thank you, Anna. We hope so too.
  7. Anonymous Guest #27

The world has enough rotten people, so you're not having kids, okay?
  8. Anna Guest #28

    Hahaha, anonymous.

If you have kids, I feel so sorry for them. Being raised by you seems like a hell with your sick way of thinking. Good luck to your kids!
  9. Kaja #29

Wow, what a mature response. You must be quite a frustrated person to attack a pregnant woman for wanting to have a child who has every chance of staying with them. Incredible nerve you have. I completely understand that she's putting everything on the line this time after experiencing something so heavy. The fact that you're spouting such nonsense says enough that you haven't experienced something like that yourself; otherwise, you'd be whining differently. Don't let people like that get to you, do what feels right for you and your baby in your belly!

    Thank you, Kaja!

What a pathetic display. You must have such a miserable life, Anonymous, hahaha.. Keep on talking big from behind 'Anonymous', hiding behind your screen... rotten box
  12. An1990 Guest #32

    Colsar,

You've already received the same response from others, but I still want to share my thoughts: please don't take the anonymous comment to heart, because it's completely unfounded!

I've never had to lose a child myself, for which I'm very grateful, but I can certainly understand that you don't want to take any risks, and that's your absolute right!!!

I wish you a very healthy pregnancy and sincerely hope everything goes well!

    Thank you so much, An1990!

What toxic reactions from someone who wishes to remain anonymous...
On a forum where we're supposed to support each other? I completely understand that after such a terrible experience you want to do everything possible to make sure this pregnancy goes well, which is why you're having all the possible tests done.
I'm now approaching the term (33 weeks) when my daughter was born and I'm already starting to get paranoid and will soon stop working too...
    Wishing you lots of strength....
    And @Anonymous:
You're free to have your own opinion, everyone does. But it's not always appropriate to just write it down everywhere. If you read something you don't agree with, just ignore it...

    Oh my goodness, Colzar..

I’m just reading your story here and tears are literally welling up in my eyes!
What you two have been through is so much, and what an unfair world it is, isn't it!?

Pregnancy isn't always straightforward & it certainly doesn't mean everything will always go well. With our first daughter 4 years ago, we found out at the 20-week scan that she had a heart defect (they called it hypoplastic left heart complex). Her heart would need multiple surgeries to turn it into a 1-chamber heart..
So I can completely understand the fear, grief, and panic, girl.

I want to let you know that I've read your story & have immense respect for you for how you've gotten through this, even if every day might still feel like a battle for you..

I understand how you're thinking about your hCG & that you want to have it checked, so just go ahead and do that, girl

    Lots of love
  16. kleintje013❤️ #36

I completely agree with you, Ilona!
Anonymous, you're such a low person to respond like that to someone who's opening up her heart here, which is exactly what this forum is for! And to react to her like that, I find it really incredibly low! I'm not going to waste any more words on you because you'd probably enjoy that too
  17. Stef #37

@ Anonymous, this world has become rotten because of people like you on this planet!!!
  18. Stef #38

@colstar, you have super high values. Here in Belgium they do it automatically and even twice in a row. Imagine a twin, because your values are super high. Let us know for sure? When do you have an ultrasound? Greetings
  19. Colsar started this #39

March 23rd is the first ultrasound. Tomorrow I'll check if everything has doubled again. I'm feeling more hormonal than last week, so I see that as a good sign. A twin... I was already thinking about that, but there's a wide margin, so we'll see. I'll let you know.
