Totally agree. I think she finds it quite exciting and thrilling.

Ladies, thanks for thinking along, and no, I don't find it exciting. I really just wanted to keep it purely friendly. And I know people at our company are aware of my husband's jealous nature, which is why I asked him not to spread the word about the number.

But I've got clarification now: he apparently sees our contact as more than just friendship. I had wished him quick success in his new job since he left us, and in that message I wrote that I won't be in contact anymore because I think it's better. Good luck with everything at your new job. Then he replied, "Thanks, and you can keep in touch with me if you want." I replied that it's nice of him, but it's better not to.

Then he wrote back, "I like you" with a heart emoji. I didn't reply anymore, and I'll leave it like that because unfortunately, I can't continue the friendship with him then.

Sounds like the best solution to me, Madeleine, especially since you already have a happy family.

Okay, how old are you if I may ask?
I wouldn't send anything back now, then the message is clear, I think.
  5. madelene #25

You can ask that. I'm 34 and he's 27, and no, I didn't send anything back. It happened on Friday, and I haven't sent anything to him since.

Good job! Are you in a happy marriage otherwise?

    Have a good Sunday!
  7. madelene #27

Yes, very happy marriage, a very kind man who is always there and does everything for us
    With a heart of gold.
We've been together for 17 years and have 4 children
I couldn't have known that he saw our relationship differently, my colleague.
It was only when the texting started that the doubts began.

You too, have a nice Sunday!
