Hi. To be honest, I’d personally wait a bit. You can share the disappointment together, but also the joy when you get a positive test. Stay strong and wait and see! Keep me posted, greetings Dirkje

And did you manage to hold back from testing and did you do it together with your partner??
    Curious about the result

Sorry, I only just got the message, so I can only reply now.

    I couldn't wait—I took a test on Wednesday, January 28th, unfortunately negative.
I took another test on Saturday, January 31st, also negative.....
I'm almost a month late and haven't had any signs at all that my period is coming, which I normally do (a bit of cramping in my lower back).

But I do have more and more signs and indications of pregnancy....
Darker areolae with more bumps, firmer breasts, more frequent urination.

Only on Tuesday, February 3rd, I fell off my bike and hit my hip, and they had to take me in the ambulance. They had to do X-rays around my hips, and now I'm really super scared that if I am pregnant, the radiation might not have been good, and that I might miscarry or have a disabled child because of it.
Of course, the baby would always be welcome, with or without a disability, but it's something I'm really worried about......
I'm going to talk to my partner tonight because he couldn't come to the hospital or anything, and he's coming over for a weekend to take care of me hahahahaha.
Thankfully, nothing was broken, just a badly bruised hip/back and a mild concussion.
The doctor's advice: rest as much as possible haha.
What did I do?? Everything except rest because there was too much to do HAHAHAHA

so i'm now 1 month and 1 week overdue hmmmmm i think i'll test again next week anyway
the gp is now also in the loop because i had to go after a collision she wanted to send me to the hospital as quickly as possible because of my injuries and i have to come back because of my missed period.
of course i'll only go after the holiday because then i'll have a bit more time with my partner to test together.
hopefully i'll get some more reactions!!

    thanks in advance xxx

It's so weird that the tests keep coming back negative. You're already quite late on your period. Are you going to get a blood test done? And maybe see a midwife for an ultrasound if not. Of course, there could be something else going on besides pregnancy. Anyway, enjoy your holiday and hopefully your positive test soon! Let us know??
  5. Rosalina #6

    definitely!!
test again this weekend and hope for a really clear positive.
I’ve read a lot that women with the 2 euro tests after 5 minutes didn’t really get a clear result and then checked again after like 2 hours and saw a very faint line and were actually pregnant,
I’ve thrown those tests in the trash after 6 minutes if they came out negative because I don’t want to be reminded of them at all.
I’ll wait a bit until I’m 2 months overdue and then get a blood test done,
unless I suddenly test positive hahaha.
thanks!! unfortunately it’s going to be a boring holiday, we were going to go to London for a few days but that can’t happen because on Monday the 16th I got hit by a car....
I have too much pain in my legs/knees and neck so on Monday I’m going back to the doctor hopefully with good news HAHAHA.

Oh Anonymous, that sounds quite serious and I'm sorry you can't go to London! Still, have a nice holiday and good luck with the tests.
  7. Rosalina #8

    hey,
yeah I have to go back to the GP and to a surgeon at the hospital tomorrow for my leg but hopefully it'll be okay! I'm currently stuck on the couch and can't move much
I hope I can test soon, I was supposed to do it last weekend but didn't get around to it because of my leg.
We'd also prefer to wait testing until I'm almost fully recovered so there's no extra stress on me.
Not really feeling it yet, just occasionally when I feel something it's secretly like oohhh but I'm trying to keep my head cool HAHAHAHHAA thanks and you too have a great holiday xxx

Unfortunately, I got my period on Tuesday
It was really strange though, I was almost 3 months overdue.
I got it on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015, and it's already almost over, not heavy at all, nothing.
    Just a very light period.
Now I just have to wait until next month
  9. kruimel #10

Ugh, sorry, but you really can’t be 3 months overdue...
It’s probably just a longer cycle, a skipped ovulation, or something else went wrong.
You can’t have ovulated and not gotten your period, or be pregnant and still test negative after such a long time.
You’re really just stressing yourself out for no reason.
Even though you’ve gotten your period now, I’d still go see your GP just to be safe.

    Hi ladies.

I have a question for you.
I had bleeding on the night from Saturday to Sunday for 2 days. At first I thought it was a period of 2 days, which can't be. So I think I had a miscarriage. But it was quite a lot so I had to use a tampon. Now I fear that I'm no longer pregnant but I still feel pregnant. Should I wait until I get my next period to test or not?
  11. Anonymous #12

Hi anonymous, did you test beforehand? Did you get a positive pregnancy test?
  12. Rosalina #13

due to circumstances, my friend/fiancé and I are temporarily trying not to get pregnant, and I’m also going to the doctor to see if I can get pregnant.
We’ve been trying for at least 1.5 years, and with the two miscarriages we’ve had, we’re taking a break for now.
Too much has happened in a short time, unfortunately.

I hope you all will soon become happy mothers and have healthy babies
And I’ll of course always read all the replies and stories!!

    Greetings and love

Sending you lots of strength and success for the coming time. And it's not just about testing yourself; it's also important to check if everything is okay with your fiancé. I personally took 3 years to get pregnant, and it was only due to my husband, for example, so it's just important for both of you to check if everything is right. I also had 2 miscarriages and understand what you're saying about too much happening in a short time. Hopefully, everything will work out for you both. I'm expecting my little girl at 11 weeks, so don't lose hope; patience is often rewarded with something beautiful

    Hi,

I have a question, hopefully someone can help me. Since January we've stopped taking the pill, mainly because we wanted a baby, but also because my migraines are less frequent then. For the last 3 months we've been using a condom but didn't check if it was leaking. Now I should have gotten my period last Saturday, but nothing yet. Should I take a test already? Best, M
  15. Anonymous #16

You're now 2 days overdue. So you could try a test
  16. M&B #17

Okay, I just ordered tests online, but since we still used a condom, I find it unlikely that I'm pregnant. Secretly though, I wouldn't mind at all. My breasts are sore, but that could also be because we stopped the pill and stuff. So we'll just wait and see, haha.
  17. Rosalina #18

It's so nice to hear that it worked out for you guys. We're going to get tested soon; we want to sort everything out first. Even though we really want a baby, it's most important that the child ends up in a good environment, and that's what we'll be working on for now. I'm super happy for you that you're pregnant, and hopefully, the delivery will go well. Let us know how being a mom is going for you? Hopefully, you'll have a beautiful little princess.

Greetings and lots of love, Rosalina.
  18. Sanne #19

I totally get your doubts, M&B. Breast pain is indeed a classic withdrawal symptom from the pill, so it's no guarantee. But it's okay to secretly hope. If the test turns out positive, you've done everything right. And Rosalina, it's so lovely that you want to get the basics in order first. That only makes things stronger. Good luck with the test.
