PGD

Hey!

I started a PGD treatment a few months ago because I'm a carrier of a genetic disorder.

Our first PGD attempt failed. It went very well, they gave us a lot of hope, but suddenly the fertilized eggs stopped developing. Result: nothing could be transferred back. It was a mystery for everyone how this could happen. A mistake in the lab? Was it us? No explanation.

I just started a new and different treatment with hormones. I have to say this is an incredibly mentally draining period. Lots of side effects, feeling anxious, feeling unhappy with myself, being irritable. It's really hard to keep your spirits up; sometimes I can spontaneously start crying. Not even whole grain bread at the bakery is enough to bring tears rolling.. On the other hand, my common sense says. Come on! You can do it! Stay positive.

I'm posting this because I'm looking for similar experiences. How did you keep your heads up?

Greetings,
Karen

    Hey Karen
No experience with PGD, we just had our first IVF attempt.
No TP because the embryos suddenly stopped dividing... no explanation at all about why this happened...
    So frustrating...

    Hi Karen,
I want to wish you lots of success. My wife and I are also pregnant through a PGT process (still very early, just 4 weeks today). Which hormones are you injecting?? You can always ask via PM or here.
