Is bottle feeding on a strict schedule?

Hi there,

I'm really curious about how you all feed your babies exactly. My son is now 7 weeks old and sleeps & feeds differently every day. One night he wakes at 04:00 and I can stretch it until 05:30 with a pacifier, then he gets bottles at 05:30-09:30-13:30-17:30-21:30. But sometimes he wakes at 04:00 and then his bottles are at 04:00-08:00-12:00-16:00-20:00, and he'd need his last bottle at 00:00. Now, in a few weeks I have to go back to work, and I'd really like his last bottle to be between 22:00 and 23:00. I just don't know the best way to handle this. Tips are welcome!

Best, Angie!

Sorry, but I can't help you with that... I always followed the bottle-feeding guidelines for both my kids... I followed the recommendations for both my son and my daughter...

So give it a try! Never worked here and always on demand. Over time, a rhythm naturally emerged, and once you have that rhythm, you can try to change it... until there are regular days or busy days and everything gets thrown off again.

    Exactly what bluppo says!
