    I find Shimmie quite funny, original. Wiep feels more like a boy's name to me; I'd rather go for Fiep or Wies.

    Neither of them. Sorry. Both are more for a boy.

    I’d also go with Wies. I think it’s really nice for a girl. Wiep feels a bit quirky to me; it sounds more like the sound of branches rustling in the wind or something. Or my son might say “wip wap” on the seesaw.
    Shim... No, too boyish, and even then I’d have gone with Jim.
