Which pregnancy vitamins are you going to use?

Hi,

I've been taking folic acid for a few weeks now.
Next week I can finally have a test done, and if it turns out I'm pregnant, I want to start taking pregnancy vitamins right away.
Do you have any experience with this?
Puur Mama by VSM, or the vitamins from Davitamon?
I saw there are also vitamins with fish oil...
Of course, I want the very best for my baby, so I'm really curious what you're taking.

Best,
Mangi

I’m taking Davitamon Compleet Mama again, just like in my previous 2 pregnancies... (without fish oil), but it’s really up to what you want!

Hi Mangi, I was already 10 weeks pregnant before I knew I was pregnant, so I had to start taking folic acid right away. Now I have to be honest—I only did it for a week because it made me break out in spots! And our girl is growing perfectly; she’s even a month ahead of schedule. My doctor also said that if I took regular folic acid, I could switch to folic acid with fish oil, but this wasn’t proven to be much better. My gynecologist said the same thing—that the one with fish oil doesn’t make much difference compared to the regular one. Discuss it with your doctor to see what seems best for you and him! I’m not taking any vitamins at all now because I really got sick from them, so this is probably different for everyone, I think. Lots of love and hoping for a good test result! Let us know!!

Once we decided to try for a baby, I immediately started taking folic acid. I was pregnant two months later and continued with folic acid until 10 weeks. Now I’ve been taking Davitamon Complete Mama for 4 weeks.

Hi! I’ve been taking Vital Pregnant by Kruidvat throughout my entire pregnancy, and it also contains folic acid.

Hi, I use: Omnibionta Pronatal Metafolin, and from 12 weeks: Omnibionta Pronatal DHA.

I started taking VK Pure Mama on recommendation, I hadn't been using folic acid before because I wasn't planning on having kids and got pregnant "out of the blue".
But I did start taking vitamins right away that same day.

Thanks for all your responses!!! I've got them now and decided on Davitamon Complete Mama with fish oil... I was really torn but ended up going with this one! The tests are here too = ) This weekend is the day, it's finally here, I'm so curious!!! My gut says we hit the mark! We'll see...

I took folic acid properly for the first three months, but then had to switch to a multivitamin. On my gynecologist's advice, I chose Davitamon. But unfortunately, my stomach couldn't handle the combination of so many vitamins. So I stopped after a month. I had to spend the whole day hanging over the toilet! Never felt nauseous before or after!

I used the pregnancy vitamins from VSM. They are quite large pills, so if you have trouble swallowing them...

And vitamin B complex from Gravimon for the second week of nausea.

I'm still taking folic acid, definitely until the 16-week check-up. They gave me that advice at the hospital last week. I also had to start taking vitamin D.

Don't you take a multivitamin for pregnant women there?
  13. Anonymous #14

No, I asked for it at the 12-week check-up, but I only needed to take extra vitamin D, nothing else? Well, I had to continue with folic acid until 16 weeks. I thought it was only until 12 weeks, but apparently not...

    Hi,
I use "prenafem" from Orthica on the advice of my midwife. It's a really good multivitamin specifically for pregnant women.

I'm currently taking Graviman for pregnant women from the pharmacy... all the vitamins you need, including folic acid, are in it... it's not cheap, but I've been using it for 4 months now... 1 every day
  16. Anonymous Guest #17

I’m also taking Gravimon, it has everything you need.

    @ Anoniem,

That's right, it's all included and you don't need to take anything extra!!

I’m taking Davitamon Complete without fish oil. I don’t know what’s best. I just picked something randomly. “Complete” always sounds good.

    Vitamins and minerals
    Omega 3 and folic acid
Good for pregnancy and during breastfeeding
