Pregnant after pregnancy-induced hypertension

Hi! During my first pregnancy, I had pregnancy-induced hypertension. My OB-GYN told me that I’d need medication for any subsequent pregnancies.
Since Saturday, I’ve known I’m pregnant again. But from when would I need to start the medication?
Has anyone here experienced this?

Huh weird, I had that with the first one too. The chance that you'll get pregnancy-induced hypertension again isn't higher than normal. I didn't take any medication during my second pregnancy, never heard of anyone else having it either, and I didn't have pregnancy-induced hypertension during my second pregnancy either.
My youngest is now 6 months old.

    Hi,
My mom had pre-eclampsia, so they discussed whether I should take medication.
I was supposed to start taking aspirin, no later than week 15 (if I'm not mistaken).
I switched to a different doctor at 19 weeks pregnant, and that's when the whole aspirin thing came up, meaning I couldn't take it anymore / it wouldn't be effective anymore.

I should look up info on aspirin and ask my doctor right away. It does reduce the chance of pre-eclampsia recurring in future pregnancies.
