I tested 2 days after implantation and got a light positive during my last pregnancy. I had a light bleed, and before that, I felt a sharp stab in my uterus. Apparently, my hCG rose quickly.

But I thought we were actually around ovulation now? Do you think this was earlier? For now, I think the chance of pregnancy is small. I’ve also had a few light bleeds around my ovulation time. Maybe you’ve experienced that too. But you’d only know for sure if you’re using ovulation tests.

I already had a suspicion, Mila, but you were all so focused on it and I wasn't at all, so I figured you'd probably be right...
I don't track my ovulation or anything like that because we hadn't started trying for a baby yet. According to the GP, it would have been about 3 days before the period I had. In the meantime, I took a test but messed it up and it failed, so I'm just impatiently waiting a week :-)

We were a bit startled at first, but now we really hope it's a hit.

My gut feeling already told me, and now the pregnancy test confirmed it too. So I really am pregnant!

Oh what a surprise! So your ovulation was at a completely different time after all. Congratulations anyway. Was it already a clear line?
  5. AnnaG started this #25

Right, total surprise! The timing didn't seem to add up, but I've never felt ovulation before, let alone had implantation bleeding. So my gut feeling said: implantation!
I must have ovulated very early then, because 11 days after my last period day, I already had implantation.. It's definitely not a faint line, but also not a super strong positive ;-)

Congratulations Anna, what a lovely (hopefully!!) surprise since you wanted to start anyway. Congratulations dear, what did you feel/feel all?
  7. AnnaG started this #27

Yeah, the jitters were already there, but it's not practical because we're only moving this fall, but hey, it'll all work out!
Since the implantation bleeding, I've had mild period-like cramps, feel slightly nauseous, been pretty tired, and since today, my breasts have also become more sensitive

Yeah, that light menstrual pain is totally normal. Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy! It's great that it was wanted after all, and the move will surely go well.

When should you get your period?
  10. AnnaG started this #30

Over 10 months now or so haha :-D
  11. Anonymous Guest #31

Haha yeah I get that. I meant when is/was your due date?

It's special that you felt everything and got to experience it all. And moving while you're pregnant is totally fine! You can do the baby room right away!

Next Wednesday is my due date.
Yes, from day 1 I already had a suspicion and felt all sorts of things.. Even though it's my first pregnancy, I just knew it right away, actually, based on my gut feeling :-)
Yes, moving is also fine, but it does add a bit more stress. I would have preferred to be settled in the new house before getting pregnant, but well, it turned out differently, but that's okay hihi.
  13. Anonymous Guest #33

Then I hope it's a plakkertje! You're very early on this.

Oh well, that's no stress????. It'll still be months before the little one comes. It's just an extra nice addition to your new house.
  14. AnnaG started this #34

We're hoping for that too, indeed!
Yes, but our house is up for sale right now. Once it's sold, we can look for a new place to buy, and then hope we can move in as soon as possible ;-) So I'm just a bit stressed about whether we'll manage to do all that within 9 months.. But we'll see, if needed we'll rent something, financially we're in a good spot so that's a relief :-)

What a rollercoaster, seriously.. Last week 2 positive tests (3 days apart), no faint line but also no clear line. On Wednesday I tested negative on my own and now today again negative, but no period... I have no idea what to think :-(
  16. Anonymous Guest #36

Looks like it didn't go well, unfortunately. You tested really early. Now wait for your period. It might be a bit later.

If you had implantation bleeding on July 9th, your period wouldn't be just now. Implantation usually happens about 5 to 9 days after ovulation, so your period would have been last week. If you're 16 days past implantation, you'd now be 3 weeks past ovulation. The story just doesn't quite add up. You also can't feel anything at the time of implantation (or fertilization, since you mentioned you were around ovulation on July 9th).
When was your last period? And did you take pictures of your tests?
  18. Moedertjuh #38

Unfortunately, things often go wrong right after implantation. If your tests stayed faint, that's often already an indication. Very unpleasant, but a negative test, or even multiple tests, means your hCG has dropped again. You'll likely start bleeding soon. That's really tough for you both, especially if you've just gotten your hopes up.

Anna, how are you doing now?
