Bottle feeding
Baby 6.5 months old no longer drinks milk
JGuest ·
Hi!
I don't usually post, but I'm starting to get a bit desperate.
My 6.5-month-old son drinks terribly. He doesn't want a bottle anymore, he really doesn't! take a single drop. Tried the pajama feed, same thing. He stops eating the puree after two bites. He does eat fruit, but as soon as I mix some milk into it, he won't have it. I also give him the bottle while he's asleep so he at least drinks something, but that's becoming less and less. Yesterday he took in about 500cc in total, including a few bites of puree. I'm singing songs to him, giving him toys to distract him, but he sees through that now. Teething is going on at the moment.. could that be the reason? Giving him a cold bottle doesn't work either.
Tomorrow morning I'll call the child health center right away because the feeding times are becoming super frustrating and that only makes things worse, of course.
Does anyone recognize this and maybe have some tips? I have a sippy cup, but he only wants water in it and doesn't drink more than a few sips.
