Question about pregnancy [not yet pregnant]

Hi everyone,
I hope this isn't the wrong website or category. My fiancée and I are getting married in a few months and we've talked about kids a lot. Due to heavy periods, she stopped the pill more than a year ago. So we've had regular unprotected sex since then, let's say 'to the point of no return', sorry if this isn't appropriate here.
Now I know she's been afraid for a long time that she can't have children. She's never been tested and has no direct reason to be afraid, but it's something that really weighs on her because she really wants kids.
So my question is, if we've had unprotected sex for more than a year and she's not on the pill, could that be a sign if she hasn't gotten pregnant in that time? I've always been told that it can happen just like that if you don't use protection and although it doesn't have to happen right away, more than a year seems quite long to me. However, I don't dare to say it properly to her because I don't want to scare her even more.
Suppose after pregnancy it takes a longer time (say years) to conceive, we'll obviously look into it, but I don't know if I'm just imagining it and it could still happen 'right away' later, or if I can really deduce from this that there might be something more going on.
Greetings,
Jonas.

Since you're leaving the church for singing, I think it might take quite a while that way. Also, you need regular sex (about 3 times a week), otherwise your chances each month are quite small. So yes, it's quite possible that she gets pregnant easily once you start trying with a clear goal. Good luck in advance!

Try singing in church 3 times a week for the next while. If she's not pregnant by the end of a year, there might be something going on; on average, it takes a year.
