Getting pregnant with 1 ovary

Hi ladies,
Has anyone had one ovary removed and got pregnant quickly? I’ve been told I’ll get an MRI and it’s highly likely my right ovary will be removed My left one has apparently been doing the work for two for a while now, and the right one (with the cyst) is basically out of commission. This is because it’s been twisted around the ovary.
According to the doctor, you still have just as much chance of getting pregnant with one ovary as with two. But I find it hard to believe, surely the chance will decrease a bit?
Who, who has positive stories? I really need to hear some right now.

Thanks for your reply. That's good news! Hopefully, there are more women with positive stories.
I'm so scared it won't work out for us. I keep wondering why it won't work for us if the other one "should be fine" MRI will rule out how healthy my good is. I really hope they don't find more trouble. The only thing I know is that I do ovulate every month..

No personal experience, but I do have my mom’s experience. She had an ectopic pregnancy for my sister and lost an ovary. After that, she still had 2 healthy kids and 1 miscarriage. So getting pregnant still worked out fine. The other ovary should take over automatically, hopefully.

If you only have one ovary, it will normally ovulate every month instead of alternating between left and right. So it shouldn't cause any problems .

Oh my goodness, if I ever get the luck of getting pregnant, I’d be such a poor thing if it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy! Then you’d lose both...
Pff, I know I should stay positive, but that’s so hard
