I'm curious, Bernice. Will you keep me updated?

Hi! Just been to the doctor. He suspects I might be pregnant but had a late implantation. I need to test again on Monday, and if that's negative, I'll test again in two weeks. If that's still negative, I have to come back for a blood test and stuff.

I just saw a faint line on the test from yesterday? I’ve read about evaporation lines, but those are supposed to be gray? This one has the same color as the test line... I’ve never seen that before..

I also see a very faint line! If I were you, I’d test with Sen x again tomorrow morning using first morning urine and read the result within the specified time.

I also see a faint line!

I had implantation bleeding during two pregnancies. With my last one—my daughter is now 6 months old—it was bright red blood loss one morning. And with the pregnancy before that, which ended in a miscarriage, there was also very light bleeding. However, you should really get a positive test within a few days after implantation. Your body starts producing hCG right after implantation. I already had a faint positive test two days after the bleeding. It’s possible that something went wrong right after implantation, so you’d get a faint line that doesn’t get darker. And your cycle might be a bit off. If you are pregnant, the line should definitely get darker. These tests are very sensitive nowadays, especially this long after implantation. I’d test again, and if it’s negative, I’d assume you’re not (anymore) pregnant. Of course, I hope you are.

The weird thing right now is that I’ve been testing positive all week with ovulation tests? I always use the same brand, and they normally only show a second line during my fertile days.

They also react to HCG, which means that on some ovulation tests, the line can appear darker than on a pregnancy test. Depending on how sensitive the tests are.

These are from Sensi Test, which I’ve always used since I started and it’s always given the right result.
I once compared it with one from Kruidvat and they both showed two clear lines at the same time.

Did you repeat the pregnancy test?
  11. Mama vanJ #31

Bernice, did you take another pregnancy test already?

I tested on Monday and it was negative again. I have to test again next Monday, and if that’s also negative, I’ll need to get a blood test.
So far, I still haven’t had my period.

How strange! I'm curious how it goes for you...

Yeah, I think I am too now. I've got some really weird lower belly pain, kind of like muscle soreness or a bloated feeling. It's hard to describe. I mainly feel it when I bend forward.
But hang in there a bit longer, and we'll hear soon enough.
  15. Mama vanJ #35

Yes, it could of course be a late implantation... I'm rooting for you and am really curious if you'll finally have a positive test in your hands tomorrow!

I still have to be patient for the blood test. I had to be fasting because they want to do a full body check. Unfortunately, I did have some bleeding today, and this time it was more red, so I'm afraid it might be my period after all. Although it's still very little, and I haven't had any cramps or anything. Well, we'll see. It's such a weird and illogical time for it to happen.
  17. Mama vanJ #37

That is indeed quite strange! Maybe just wait and see? And normally you do have a regular cycle, right?

Hi Bernice, I was wondering how you're doing now? Have you gotten your period or is there still nothing? Have you had the blood test yet?
