Ectopic pregnancy or not?

Hi there,
Here’s my story... I’ve been using hormone patches... Everything went smoothly until November 6th. My period was due and didn’t show up, so I took off the patch... No period in December either... So I took a pregnancy test. It came back negative... Two weeks later I took another one, also negative... But my breasts were sore... I made an appointment with the gynecologist on Jan 25th. Everything looked fine, there was blood ready, and the cervical mucus was thick and good... I had to wait a couple of weeks, but apparently I did ovulate (my partner and I had unprotected sex the day before)... If I still didn’t get my period, I had to take another pregnancy test... So I just had blood drawn after those 2 weeks... My doctor congratulated me and said my hCG levels were already extremely high... And she said I think you’re already between 10 and 13 weeks pregnant... I called the gynecologist back and she said... Two weeks ago there was nothing in your uterus, so now I’m really worried... And I fear this might be an ectopic pregnancy... What do you all think. ????

That's so frustrating with all the uncertainty!

Are you having a lot of abdominal pain and bleeding? If you're around 10 weeks pregnant, the baby would be about 6 cm long. If it were in your fallopian tube, you'd probably feel pain from it.

Maybe they missed the baby on the ultrasound because it was hidden? With me, they couldn't see the little one either with an external ultrasound around 8 weeks. Did they do an internal or transvaginal ultrasound?

When are you allowed to go back for another ultrasound?

I don’t have any discomfort really... But I’m just so worried... ???? Tomorrow at 7:40 PM I’m allowed to go back...

I get that you're worried! I'm not a doctor, but if you don't have any symptoms, I wouldn't expect you to have an ectopic pregnancy. The people I know who had one had bleeding and a lot of pain.

Good luck tomorrow! Let me know how it went?

I will do it... I read way too much on the internet, I think, which makes me feel insecure.

So... I just wanted to let you know... Apparently, those hCG values can vary a lot... So I'm just pregnant, everything's fine... I'm now 7 weeks and 2 days ????????????????

    Congratulations!
