pregnancy and epilepsy?

Has anyone here had epilepsy and already been through a pregnancy? My husband and I are taking the step now, but there’s a whole bunch of preparation involved. We got a lot of explanations and warnings and stuff, but I’d really like to connect with someone who’s been through this! Thanks???

    Hi Sarah,

    I have epilepsy myself,

What type of epilepsy do you have?
    I've already had 2 boys.

Now that my last wish for a child is no longer possible, we're looking into surrogacy.

You can email me or send a private message????

    Hi,
This is an old topic. But I was wondering if there are any ladies here with epilepsy?
I managed to stop my medication, but now during my pregnancy I'm experiencing more seizures and would need to start taking medication again. But I feel bad about it; 8 weeks still feels so early to be giving medication to the baby already... Can anyone reassure me that this won't affect the baby's health?

0001, that sniffing around is very relatable. I understand you're doubting, but it's really wise to reach out to the specialist or the baby clinic. They can reassure you about the balance between your health and the baby's. Don't stay stuck with your own doubts, because stress isn't good for pregnancy either.
