Jur or Duuk

Everyone has their own taste... but you're clearly asking for different opinions. And honestly, I don't find the names that appealing.
With Jur, I think Jurre sounds better. It sounds like the name isn't finished yet. Maybe you could go with Jurre and use Jur as a nickname.
And with Duuk... I think of Luuk, which I think is a fantastic name and one we would have chosen for a boy. Plus, here in Limburg, "kaduuk" is another word for broken. So Duuk seems a bit odd to me.
But hey... follow your own heart... this is just my opinion. Maybe you don't like the name Floor at all for our little girl. And even then, I'd still stick with that name, because we're very happy with it.

I think both are beautiful names. Duuk really sounds like a tough name to me, while Jur feels a bit more "older" and slightly less tough than Duuk. I find Jur more original and less trendy than Jurre. Good luck with your choice!

I think Duuk is really terrible, sorry. It also makes me think of kaduuk right away.

I think both are beautiful names! But I'd definitely go with Duuk!! Our little boy, who was born 3 weeks ago, is named that.. it's a tough name you don't hear often!!

Thank you all! Names are obviously a matter of taste, which is a relief, because otherwise we’d all have the same name . It’s nice to read what people think about them or how they might do it differently or associate with them.
Jurre is already used in our circle, and I personally find the shortened version prettier.
Vinz, Sev, and Gus don’t look good to me. Tijn, on the other hand, does, but my partner doesn’t like it as much. Boy names are just really tricky! We’d already moved past girl names. It would be "Mare."
