HSG experience

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. To introduce myself, I've been trying to conceive for over a year now. My husband had a sperm test done and it was very good. We were allowed to come in for an ultrasound. I turned out to have a lot of follicles in the first scan. My gynecologist thought I might have PCOS, which also comes from having a very irregular cycle. 24 to 35 days. Blood tests showed that I don't have PCOS. After another scan, it turned out I had a follicle that had grown well. It was an average of 15mm and the next day it had ruptured. A week later, this was confirmed with a positive blood test. Last week I had an HSG and everything looked good. But we still can't seem to get pregnant.
My experience with the HSG was positive. It was very scary to sit there, especially after all the horror stories I read. I didn't feel any pain at all for the rest. That same evening I did have period-like cramps. This lasted for a few days but it wasn't very painful. I have the cramps again now. It feels like I'm about to get my period, but that can't be yet because I'm only on day 17. And it's so annoying that I never know when my ovulation is.
It's probably been asked a lot already. But I'm curious about people who don't get pregnant even though everything looks good. Because I've really lost a bit of hope myself.
